Coding 992

Burning Brakes
Thx to @rnlst_log for the amazing collaboration on this over the last few days to get this working. A few notes:
- This was tested on my US-spec 992 2021 C2S. I was sorely missing the feature after having it as native functionality on my BMWs for years.
- After enabling you'll have a new 'Comfort Opening' option in the 'Locking' menu which will allow you to chose what you'd like to open / close. The default is 'nothing' so this option must be changed in PCM (see screen below)
- Curious if this will also work for the convertible top on US-spec cabs? I have seen hints of it in other forums... anybody available to test?
Enjoy.

I have Autel AP200 and Thinkdiag (I'm pretty sure Thinkcar, Launch, iCarsoft are one and the same company) and got the latest software for Porsche on both, just few days ago,
and neither support 992 at all. only support 991 and earlier models.
Foxwell may support 992, as they claim to support some functionality with 992.

did anyone successfully disable auto start/stop function on 992? I know people did it on other models, but I haven't found any proof that anyone actually did it on 992.
I am able to change the status to inactive under DME, but once restart engine, it is back to active again
tried to change start-stop-lastMode, but error in writing.

I did not believe him, but I gues he was telling the truth after all.
I guess I have no choice but to disable it every time I start the car.

It must be possible as setting Mode to Sport disables it, but @rnlst_log and I spent quite a lot of time and changed myriads of parameters (seems *** is mentioned in 47 places) but never succeeded.

I was going through the menu, and it seems they allow individual car brand update at $20 for 1 year, rather than updating the whole thing at almost $400.
I did not know about that, since it wasn't clearly described. Any way I updated Porsche and Mercedes at $20 each, I'll see what functions are available for Porsche 992.
Launch Diagun current (12/12/2022) version for Porsche is V24.05 , where as Thinkdiag is V23.60 (updated 11/17/2022 and will expire 11/17/2023) .
Launch can be updated any time when new version is released until the expiration date.
where as I do not believe Thinkdiag can be updated once downloaded (or I just don't know how to do it).
you can keep using Launch, even after the expiration date, where as you can not use Thinkdiag after the expiration date, without renewing software.

Good to know. The problem is also that depending on who you bought the Launch from, it won't be possible to renew as they send you from one so called rep to another. In the end since I got PIWIS it just became too much of a hassle and the $20 upgrade wasn't available. I sold my Launch. It's definitely a lot more user friendly, easy to work with as it's a tablet rather than a laptop and has a great (compared to PIWIS) Search function. However depending on what you want to do, it may or may not be available in that version with no idea when what you want will. Lastly, for example, items in BCM1 in PIWIS may be located in BCM2 under Launch. Case in point is the rear lights so working with both ends up being very confusing (well for me anyway).
