Many different error codes generated in this case from mine as I can't remember Transport Mode being activated. This is a crucial item that must be disabled by dealer upon car's arrival as many components are not being powered during shipping process to avoid dead battery.

Wonder what this version of Launch corresponds to PIWIS as it's obviously based on PIWIS version; perhaps that's the issue since mine was 40.100 at the time IIRC

I mean, perhaps the car's production date is different from yours.
Only one test to confirm is by return the code to the original value, then see if the *** back to function again.
If it remains disabled, something else to think about.

I don't know exact production date, but I placed the order for it in July of 2021, and received it in Jan 2022.

I'll turn the start/stop function on and off in PCM and see what happens.
but currently, it displays disable start/stop function square is not checked, yet the engine doesn't turn off when stopped.

Do you have the possibility to dump a VAL? I'm especially interested in the value for "Connect" or "Connect (incl. PVTS)" if its 0420, 0412 or other. Also do you have PCM6 aka MIB3? If you do then no need for the VAL as you have ConBox High. Thanx

it seems now checking and unchecking "disable Start/Stop" square in PCM does not reactivate start/stop.

when checked, the amber warning light does not come up when the vehicle is stopped.
when unchecked, the amber warning light comes up when the vehcile is stopped, and goes off when start moving again.

which is different from how my 2012 BMW 328i coding for start/stop functioned, but I'm fine with it.

Sounds like 1970s IBM programming logic, "if the condition is true it won't do it...". Any chance to get a VAL?

Change back the start/stop value in DME to Active.

Well, I don't know what VAL is, therefore also naturally don't know how to dump VAL either.

If your headlight is 8JU or 8IU, its possible.
Check out your headlight VO code.

hi!thank you very much for answering me, now I'll check, if they are the correct ones, a coding is therefore sufficient or there will be something to change also at the wiring level?

I find the VO code with pwis right?

I’ve recently upgraded my 991.2 to a 992, which has lots of options, but stupidly someone didn’t click the rain sensor (original owner admits it was an oversight).

From what I can see though, the sensor is actually there, and connected, so this leads me to think we should just be able to code the car to switch it on (as you can for Caymans/Boxsters).

Can anyone assist with the process please. SW UK based.

Thank you.
