Very deep breathes Drilled a couple small holes next to the pre existing ones from the factory (top left and right side).

Then poked a small hole into the rubber gasket under the glovebox (removed carpeting) to get through the firewall to the interior.

Not really for the faint of heart I guess.

Not at all. Great job. What's going on with the E on the sub box?

Box looks great, the amp wires are driving me nuts. Can you bring them all from the passenger side, bring the RCAs behind and across the amp, and zip tie them all together?

Yea they’re driving me a bit nuts as well. Going to clean them up when I have a bit more time. Lots of trials and tribulations on the install so when I finally got everything working I said I’d just get back to it later after I tune the sub into the system a bit better.

Wait, you drilled holes into a perfectly designed, German engineered tub?!?! Did you do a FEM model to see if you have compromised the structural loads? Get permission from the mothership. I guess your warranty is void now. Car is going to blow up now :-)

Great job, definitely not of the faint of heart!

Alternative drill point is through the existing plastic plugs on both sides. Similar one at firewall to get into the main cabin.

If you need any pointers, feel free to reach out. I professionally installed for 15 years

Another Amp location for those that want a hidden look. Raised floor panel, cooling fans and vents.

Concern is length of ground. Manual said no more than 3 feet but folks at DIYAudio said it’s more of a recommendation and you can go longer. I grounded at the body ground so 40” is pretty tight to where it comes in and connects to amp.

Considered what Jeff did but wanted to do something fairly quick to start. If I can make the cables neater will likely leave as is so I can still use the Frunk liner.
