Car looks great (…and good decision on painting the mirrors/side skirts), and I share in your love of garage cleanliness. I mop my 3-car garage floors once a week.

Ignore the grappling dummy positioned on my Panigale V4. I’ve just been too lazy to put him atop one of the ceiling mounted racks. lol!

I bought a 1:1 replica of the 992 sport classic rear spoiler, which has a very accurate installation position and looks really nice. It is compatible with models 992992s and 992Gts, and I want to share it with everyone. It is made of carbon fiber material

New tires will be quieter than old/worn out tires.
Not an issue to run new ones in the back and used in the front, as long as there is enough thread. But mixing brands/models is not a good idea on a high performance car. Advisable to swap out the fronts with a matching set when you can.

Read his post closely. Based on HIS use, running new matching Continentals on rear with matching used (6/32) GYs on front is perfectly acceptable. I would do the same. I would not replace the fronts until worn out. BTW - I had a set Continentals on my 987 and they were a good tire, IMHO.
This comes at the expense of saving probably $200-$300? It’s just not worth it. Can lead to severe under/over steer, lost of traction, hydroplaning, loose cornering etc.
A pair of PS4S for the fronts is about $650 shipped. They come with 10/12 thread brand new. At 6/12 you have about 2/12 or 3/12 left which is about $180-$270.
The couple hundred bucks you are saving is not worth the potential risks when driving spirited or under extreme conditions.

Based on my expertise of being in automotive engineering for 20+ years, designing the wheels for the world’s fastest car (back then), engineering the world’s first automotive carbon fiber wheels, and consulting for the most wheel known automotive wheel companies (HRE, Dymag, Marchesini), I can stand behind my advice.

I respectfully disagree with your theoretical opinion having worked in tire shops for many, many years. READ HIS POST, SIR. FOR HIS USE, it is perfectly acceptable and, in fact, practiced daily by similar car owners with no adverse effects. I agree that single axle matching is essential. Replacing all four tires when you only need two rears tires not necessary FOR HIS APPLICATION as described in his post. Most every car in the north that install snow tires on rear axles do this 3-4 months every year with no adverse effect.

HA Ha. I thought my very practical reply to your theoretical response was very respectfully written and was not personal or critical. I just disagree based on my experience in the industry. But, as Socrates says, when the argument is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.
