and i agree with with your previous comment that it would be impossible to get lucky in a C8 with that wall between passengers.

If you want a girl of quality, you'd be better off picking them up in a ho-hum 4 door anyway. Picking a woman up in a Vette or sports car for that matter is usually more of a minus, unless you're dumpster diving.

Once in a relationship, or after the ice is broken so on following dates, it can maybe be a different story.

I've owned some form of Porsche since I was 19.

The only negative I've experienced is talking about the car as though it matters - the vast majority of women don't care or know about cars and the ones that pretend to (like my wife) are usually full of ****. There has never been a case where showing up in a ho-hum car, of which I've owned many, would have likely been superior to showing up in a Porsche I hadn't spoken about in advance.

Basically, if she already likes you AND you have a Porsche, you're probably going to do as good or better than if you show up in your beater.

Rereading what you wrote it appears we're saying the same thing. I guess I've never been in a position where I was picking up a girl with my car I hadn't already "broken the ice" with. That sounds like a blind-date / online dating thing.

This phenomenon is well understood in evolutionary theory. You don't drive fancy cars to impress women directly. You drive fancy cars to dominate your male peers, which then raises your stature among potential mates.

Or did you guys think the high-school cheerleaders were personally impressed by all those tire-smoking burnouts in the parking lot?
