Burning Brakes
I was listening to a Porsche podcast the other day where the guy was saying that over the years he often has a Porsche on order and when he doesn't it feels odd. My opinion is that this has been pretty stressful and I once I get my car I don't think I'll be doing this again!
I did get a crash course in Maritime shipping and one thing that I learned sadly is that getting something from Europe via ship has not changed a whole lot in terms of timeline in the last 100 years. A 1930s ocean liner literally sailed faster than my Vessel in terms of cruising speed and transatlantic crossing time. Maritime shipping definitely has not followed the rapid course of exponential improvement that say computers or communication have,

This is all I could find, but it looks like it’s aimed more north than where the Sunrise is moored.

Three Wheelin'
I heard the same podcast, Spike changes Porsches every year or more so I'm not really in that league and thus I have more emotional investment in my inbound car. I agree this has been stressful for me and not sure I will repeat this any time soon. This is the first Porsche I have ordered, I have factory ordered a Tesla and Range Rover and both were much less stressful, possibly because they didn't provide the tracking ability that porsche does so I just had to relax and wait instead of watching my ship meander over the Atlantic visiting every port on it's way.

Siem Confucious arrived in Jacksonville on Wednesday and left port Thursday and now headed to Mexico. It is now Friday with no update on TYD showing car has arrived at Jacksonville port. SA said no update in their system either. I hope my car got off the boat in Jacksonville

I don't even have my new car and I already started the process of doing it again. I placed an order for a GT3T in PTS last month. Hope is that I'll have the car sometime in 2024. For now just counting down the days until I'm in my new GTS. Going on three months now without a 911 and I am definitely going through withdrawal

Yup, same here, saw Wed evening it arrived and figured the next milestone/step would update by yesterday - now it's Fri & still nothing. Hoping later today it'll show it landed & know it's a bit soon but maybe by next weekend it's on the way to the dealership here in Atlanta. (Mine is a 718 but figured I'd chime in)

Well I'm certainly glad to hear this from others - I was worried my car was on its way to grab some margaritas en route to me! I had delusions I'd be heading to the dealer tomorrow when SIEM Confucius docked on the fifth - maybe next Saturday then.

Love this! This has been my mind for the last 2 weeks since I got word my car entered the SD port. They must be backed the hell up because my dealer is only 80 miles away in OC area and it's not expected to get there before 4/14. And thats just an ETA, the dealers have no goddamn clue or control over the port inspection process and trucking schedule. It kind of blows my mind that they aren't part of that process...
