I've toured that BMW VDC in NJ two times with the CCA club - impressive operation. But yes, its unreal the level of body damage repairs they perform there on (albeit a very small number of) new cars. One of them I saw on one tour was hail damaged - if the eventual owner had ever seen it in that state, they would have cancelled the order for sure.

I think those tours were cancelled when COVID started, not sure if the BMW CCA is going to resume them now.

Your SA can tell you now what ship it is, in addition you can see from sailing schedules what it is, there is also a TYD hack to see the ship. SFL Composer is at port in Emden right now, if you haven't set sail yet that could be you.

TYD typically will not update showing you are on the ship until shortly after the ship pulls away from the port.

Indeed. It's currently about 100nm from the entrance to the bay. It's scheduled to arrive at Benicia tomorrow night at around 8pm PST.

FYI there are still cars in Benicia from the last ship, yet to be trucked out, mine included. It's been a week... and I only live 150 miles from Benicia. A frustrating final step to what has been a start to finish frustrating experience. My original TYD delivery date was December 24, 2022.

My car is also still parked in Creutzwald, France. TYD shows manufacturing was completed 2/9/23; and was released for transport on 2/13/23 as the last completed step. Like yours, it shows arrival at Emden on 4/24 and leaving port on 7/15/23 with arrival at dealer on 8/9/23. Does anyone have any information on how realistic/reliable these future milestone dates are?

Man, that is frustrating! I've debated that too much info might be a band thing... Perhaps ignorance is bliss and all that. I'm kind of obsessed with this car as it's my first Porsche and my wife thinks I'm nuts (which isn't new). My dealership is 40 miles from the Porsche processing location in Benicia. Really hope the bottle neck is resolved quickly, for both our sakes!

No movement on my TYD yet. Car arrived in Jacksonville Wednesday 4/5 and TYD has yet to update 5 days later still says on the boat. My SA thinks the port went on vacation for Easter why no updates to TYD.
