Joining the fun with a 992 GTS order (April build, June delivery in SoCal).

First 911, Second Porsche (‘22 Panamera 4S E-Hybrid). So excited!!!

Build: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRC8KIP8

A few photos (last photo is courtesy of @woobiee because Configurator won’t show the leather GTS interior package with speed blue deviated stitching).

That's a big increase on the GTS base price, any idea when that went into affect? I had heard that there would be some big price increases coming up but thought it would be for the '24's......I ordered my GTS, which thankfully has made it to the port, last July and the base price then was $8300 less. Nice build you have there, mine is SB also with an Aerokit. Congrats and hopefully your wait won't be as long as it has been for many of us

MY2023 pricing shouldn’t change. The new price increase went into effect last week but it should only apply to MY2024. You’re safe.

I really wanted the Aerokit but it’s stop-ordered and Porsche says it could be a 65-week wait! Consider yourself very lucky to have been able to get the Aerokit!

Its just a stock photo from the Siem website of the inside of the Aristotle.

The Aristotle has been moored at Emden for almost a week now, curious why it's taking so long.

The TYD hacks shows I am on that vessel and have been since last Tuesday. IMO_9841029

Well, for those of us whose cars are siting at Emden (my US-bound Turbo S Cab finished production on March 28, arrived at the port on March 31 and was supposed to go out that day), this gives us hope that they're still loading all of our cars to ship everyone out today/tomorrow, so thanks for your patience

Lets get as many aboard as possible! From what I've heard, ships usually dock for 3-4 days so wondered why this is almost double.

My friend is also on that ship. Crazy that it's been docked for so long. As long as it doesn't sink!

Default 992 GTS

My car is supposed to be on the Aristotle as well. Finished production on 3/31 and was at the port the same day. Fingers crossed it gets under way shortly.

Dong-A Glovis is finally docked in Benicia, after sitting outside San Francisco Bay for a day or so, apparently waiting for something. Some Norcal people including me should be getting cars soon.

Usually a delay like this is due to a mechanical issue. Both the shipper and the port want the ship loaded and out as quick as possible. The shipper wants the ship underway because then it's not racking up port chargers, and the port wants the ship out because it needs the pier space. If the ship is still sitting in port it's potentially due to a mechanical issue where it doesn't make sense or isn't practical to move the ship to an anchorage or worse fully unload the ship and move it to a shipyard to resolve the issue.

Not unusual. San Francisco Bay is traffic controlled - like the Panama Canal, large ships can't enter the Bay without clearance from VTS San Francisco. And if the port isn't ready to receive the ship upon arrival it'll have to hold at an anchorage until the port is ready. Also other scheduled ship movements in the Bay from Oakland, Alameda, San Francisco and pretty much every other industrial pier from Stockton west can impact arrivals into the port.
