mine also arrived at the same time/place on the Glovis Star... my dealer told me it would be 1-2weeks to clear customs... no mention of software updates.... he said it normally takes this long.

Ordered my 992 C4S manual earlier today. An exciting moment indeed! February allocation, and tentative dealer delivery April 15th. I'll pull up a chair once my build locks the 1st week of January.

Mine was on that same ship that arrive last Friday. I figured it would take one or two weeks I was told that it was logged in off the ship which meant to me that it would be ready to be put on a transport to delivered to dealership. Yesterday I was told that the software update has to be done before it could be delivered to the dealership for some reason. That seemed a little odd to me but, what do I know. I wish I knew what that software update was for.

ask your dealer. Seems to me a software update would be done at the dealer as part of the PDI. Right?

my car is sitting 1 hour away at the port and nobody (not customs, not the dealer) can tell me when I will see it... there is literally 0 info... this is a true test of anxiety coping skills.

Sheesh! That's infuriating. At least it's an hour away from you, so at this point it's just a ticking time bomb that can go off at any second and you'll get the call, haha.

My first 911 is officially on order!! I have a C2 allocation for February, anticipating May delivery. Allocations are pretty limited here, out of 4 dealerships only one said yes to a discount. 2.5%.

Congrats
BTW should have pushed for more discount. 2.5% is low.
Minimum 5%

People have said that but out of 4 dealerships only one would play ball at all. The other three were hard nos, even when I told them I'd order elsewhere (and did). Going more than 500 miles out of my way would have cost more/been more trouble than the extra 2.5%.

2.5% is decent on a C2. I got 5 here in CA. But I had a referral, and it is my first Porsche so I am very grateful. If I hadn’t had a referral, I’d imagine I’d be in that same ballpark.

Any idea on what the next vessel will be that gets to Benecia? From https://www.nmtshipping.com/sailing-...ling-schedule/ it should be Brooklands that'll arrive in Emden on 12/27. Not sure if I'm looking at the right place tho.

My car has been sitting on Emden since Dec 4th. Still a long wait if Brooklands will be the next vessel. The wait is so hard...

Haha I am in the same boat with you. Literally!

My build was complete last week of November and its scheduled vessel is 12/27. I am guessing the big gap is due to holidays... Sailors need to go home too.
