My 992S froze 3/11 and on same production and shipping schedule with arrival at JAX scheduled for 5/13. Looks like we could be shipmates!

If the prod date gets pushed from say, June to july/Aug, will the model year also switch? Any experience with that? I have a build date in June with an early Aug delivery as of now. My first Porsche!

that's awesome, hope no delays or surprises from here on out. I'm curious about the cp 8 date and the memo that was sent out about the delays due to the war.

Time will tell. We will both know within a few weeks.

The west coast bound Glovis Sigma is in Santa Marta, Colombia. Hopefully she'll be on her way to the Panama Canal and then San Diego by morning. It won't be long now.

P.S. I'm just happy the trip across the Atlantic went by without a hitch.

question , you said ordered today, does that mean you ordered and got an allocation without waiting? The only reason I ask is that I have been following the allocation process for over a year and I am starting to notice that allocation wait times are changing quickly, I am starting to wonder if the market is beginning to change and we are starting to see the downward turn that I always felt was coming. Just an FYI, I placed an order for a C2S Cab on Jan 30th and recived my allocation last week and have the same build/delivery dates as you. Based on all that I have read here over the last year I thought I was going to wait a year just for a spot. A friend of mine in NJ who was told he would have a 2 year wait, got a spot in 2 mo's from a large dealer, one that I would have thought would have a massive wait list.
anyone have any thoughts in this?

Folks, are we going to get cars with April builds? The news reads that the factory is closing. Do we think this will not affect April builds? Maybe even some March builds? Porsche Suspends Production Due To Conflict In Ukraine: Report (jalopnik.com)

Quick update. I have had an April 8 build date for sometime - GTS RWD. I asked my dealer to confirm my car would be built as scheduled, and as of late last week I was, according to the dealer, still "on schedule." Yesterday, I checked TYD and I was met with the sad-man holding his umbrella. Today I checked again, and according to TYD (which I realize needs to be taken with a grain of salt) my build date has moved to April 1 (hopefully this isn't a joke). I am now 85 days away from the car arriving at my dealership. The excitement continues to build.

Has there been any independent/Porsche verification out there on this? I saw this when it first came out but I have yet to see it from an official source.

From my perspective - and I know this is selfish - I'm not scheduled for delivery until early September anyways. So a delay just means I'm getting a Porsche (my first) for Christmas. I'm on TEAM DELAY!
