Hi Guys, I am new to Rennlist and this is my first post. I have been reading everyone's messages for quite some time. I am currently waiting for a carmine red 2022 911 4S to be shipped from Emden. It has been in port since January 26 and my date has moved a couple of times as well. Most recently yesterday. It is now supposed to arrive at the dealership on April 15th. I was fortunate enough to find it after it was built, but prior to shipping. My wife also is waiting for a shark blue 911 convertible to be built. Her build date is March 11 and is to arrive at the dealership on May 13th. This is her 5th Porsche and my 1st. I have always been a Corvette guy and decided to go over to the dark side as they say. I waited 15 months for a C8 convertible to be delivered so I guess a few more weeks won't kill me. Still, I sympathize with everyone, especially the Felicity Ace people. Thanks buckeyedan

So it seems. My wife's production date has been moved back about a month but delivery date of May 13th is holding for now. I'm certain that will move to a later date once it is produced. her freeze date was today.

Last night I looked at TYD and it had changed from estimated date of on vessel from 2/18 to 3/18. I just checked my TYD again and it shows estimated date of milestone completion of 3/18/22, but beneath it is also says Green Ridge. So now I am completely confused. Here is to hoping it is on the Green Ridge.

If history serves it will be on the Green Ridge and the date was just adjusted because the 2/18 date has passed. The actual date will update soon when the ship departs or thereabouts.

The last posted Green Ridge schedule had it loading in Emden on Feb 17th and landing in San Diego on March 11...now that we've added 5 days to the departure, adding 5 to the estimated arrival time in SD plus a couple of days for port processing puts the date pretty close to March 18...but I've never been through this before so I could be completely wrong!! :-)

Thank you, Newport IRL, for this post. I arrived at the website too late to capture my own screenshot, and thought I had missed the memorable opportunity of visioning my car, somewhere aboard, in transit to Benicia. The absence of smoke is so reassuring. Now where do you suppose a Benicia-bound Gentian Blue 992 Turbo S would be secured. Undoubtedly in the depths, as the San Diego cars would be coming off first. I now know a lot more about RoRo ships, their dangers, their misadventures, the hazards of decompartmentalization, some of the risks of lithium batteries, and the fate of the Golden Ray, off Georgia three years ago. My 2011 and 2014 997 and 991 made their journeys aboard the Tranquil Ace and Gentle Leader. I had no idea of what would happen to the Felicity Ace while my car journeyed on the Glovis Sonic.
A tribute to the logistics world that brings our dreams to us, most of the time, despite the hazards that can turn the routine into an emergency. Like so many in our complex world, they are essential members of the human community that enrich our lives in ways we can't imagine, until disaster strikes. Thank goodness that the 22 crewmen on the Felicity Ace were rescued. My hopes continue for all those involved in a gigantic salvage task, and the risks that they will undertake to prevent further ecological disaster. After COVID, can we not all realize how interconnected we are, and that every living thing counts?
