According to the published schedule the Goodwood is next in to Emden that will be stopping at Davisville, RI. Right now the Goodwood is in the English Channel and is due in to Emden on April 22. Assuming your car gets on the Goodwood, your timing is looking pretty good.

Thank you for that information, I certainly hope my car can make that ship. That would mean I would receive my car a couple of weeks early.

The name of the ship will show up on TYD once your car has been assigned to it. So if it makes the Goodwood, you should know that in a few days.

as @dgtarga points out, the TYD is much more accurate. So much so, that once it gets on the boat, it will show you the boat's location and and the distance to dealer will adjust about hourly. WHICH IS SO DAMN COOL.

I'm waiting for a Targa 4S allocation and was told the next batch of allocation will be summer 2021 production as 2022 model.
If my delivery date gets dragged to 2022 then I will reconsider.
I love the Targa, so I hope you can get a 2021 delivery.

I don't have any expected production months yet, the order demand was created, and a comm # was provided. Not entirely sure what that means for timing. They did put an expected delivery of March 2022 on the offer to purchase form, but I don't know how accurate that date is. The email I received last week from the dealer indicated that they don't have 2022 models in their internal systems to be a few months before they have allocation.

I have a service appointment this week, and I will be sitting down with my SA to review the build, so hopefully, he will have a better idea regarding dates.

Call PCNA with your comm# in hand. You will get more accurate answers. When comm# turns from V200 into V250 (vehicle fixed) then you are in business. See attachment for sequence of events and an idea of timing (under ideal circumstances) Reality is that current supply circumstances are not ideal. Happy Waiting...

It is probably too early for PCNA to provide any help regarding timing. A commission number is assigned at V070: "Order demand released for order." This is prior to an allocation being procured - once the allocation is obtained for this order/commission number, the vehicle status will advance to V200 - Delivery date determined. That could still be a couple months before V250 - vehicle fixed - which doesn't occur until a couple weeks after the "freeze" date and a couple weeks prior to going into production. If the allocation does not come through for another few months (August or so), timing will be tight for a 2021 delivery.

Thanks for the details, much appreciated.

I'll see what my SA says later this week but I'll plan for a 2022 delivery.

As other's mentioned, once you have the commission number you should have everything planned out. Congrats!
March 2022 sounds really late if you have the allocation now, unless there is a huge lineup for C4 model, which is possible.

My C2S went to Scheduled for Production 4 days early - 4/12/21 instead of 4/16/21 and now it has updated to Start Production today 4/20/21 instead of on Friday 4/23/21, so another few days early.

Production Completed is estimated for Friday 4/30/21, so I would guess that will hopefully finish middle of new week instead!! It finally feels real.

Default 992 C2S

Hello all

First post newbie!

Previously owned a 992 C2S and now after seeing the rear of the 992, oh my good lord, a thing of beauty. I've pulled the trigger and paid a deposit for a build slot. Now I'm sifting through to decide what I actually want! Far too many choices but I have a little time as it's not coming to me until March 2022.

Will follow this forum avidly for pointers on choices and will chip in where I can to help.

Thanks

Just want to clarify - a commission number is assigned once the order is placed. If the order is placed before an allocation is available, the vehicle status (as shown on the Build Sheet that the dealer can provide) is shown as "V070 - Order demand released for order." Approximate timing has not been determined for production, and will not be until the allocation is provided and linked to the commission number. At that point the vehicle status changes to "V200 - Delivery date determined." At that point the dealer can provide a printout from the PSVM system that shows planned and expected dates out through delivery. I have a Taycan 4S that is currently at V070 - and has a commission number assigned. Allocation is expected in May. Unfortunately for 992s, and Targas in particular, the wait for an allocation may be considerably longer.

3rdpedal - very similar here! My C2S started production four days early on 4/19 and is set to finish 4/30, which we should certainly beat. I can only assume TYD was down for days because our cars were getting so much extra attention... With all the parts delay stories, I just wanted to give another good news shout out that hopefully encourages others during the interminable wait. Onward!
