Sadly, delivery to dealer really depends on a couple of items after the build is complete.
The loading onto a ship in Emden
The off-loading at the final destination
Both are out of the control of Porsche.
Any issues at these critical steps, really compromises any posted schedules
Yeah, I know its not Porsches fault for port delays, but sadly it looks like its going to be grossly delayed to the point of not possible for us to take delivery.....oh well.
Well I’m officially out of the waiting room. Hopefully everyone else has as smooth of a process as I was fortunate enough to have. Good luck!
Snapped some crappy pics and nothing that no one has seen before but glad I went w/ the 930 package. Gives the black interior just a little something more.
actually these photos were very helpful for me, I’ve got the same wheel and paint combo (Carrera Classic & Gentian Blue) and haven’t yet seen how they look together, thanks!
Finally picked this beauty up today (my first 911), and it’s an incredible machine!
Thanks to everyone’s feedback from way back in February about my build (no regrets so far).
My PPF guy asked me to have the dealer keep all of the protective “packaging” on, so I actually picked it up as-shown in the third picture and drove it 45 min to his shop 😂
Yeah...its hit or mis...
Mine was 6 days from “manufacture complete” to “left the german port” ...
sk911. Yeah hit or miss in correct!! My wife's Cab got to the port on 5/28 and didn't depart till 6/17. I think I'm on the Crystal Ray heading to Benicia, I thought I read that's the port the LA Experience Center uses?
Thanks to someone's post earlier it's due to arrive there on 7/19. My app says available for delivery on 8/31 (last update 5 days ago). I got a note from the LA Center scheduling our track day on 8/20. Our anniversary is on 8/11 and I do hope that if it lands in Benicia on 7/19 they can have the car ready for us by 8/11.
I think you mentioned your in San Diego, are you picking up at a SD dealer or the LA Center? Best wishes, Mike
Completely off topic I know - but does anyone have insight where Range Rovers port from when they come to the east coast, specifically Baltimore or NJ? Friend has a build coming in but RR is not as transparent as Porsche.

Good to hear you made the Crystal Ray...I missed that ship by 1 day.
I thought I was in good shape when I found out I actually made a ship 2 days later but come to find out that ship does not go through the Panama Canal...it sails down to the Magellan straight clear around the southern tip of South America. This adds an additional 3 weeks to the trip...JEEZ!
I was expecting for it to hit San Diego around the 3rd week in July, but the schedule now shows August 4....so I won't take delivery until mid August. I know the weather around Cape Horn can be horrendous as well, so who knows.
I'm in the Phoenix AZ. area, my dealer trucks in delivered cars from the Port of San Diego.
Are you sure your car is going to Benicia....Crystal Ray is dropping off cars in San Diego on 7/16
Congratulations on the anniversary and new car...should be a fun day at PEC.
We will also be doing PEC later this year, but my wife says we will be using the PEC cars...LOL!
Steve
I'm guessing theres probably a fair bit of variability. But for those of you who have have tracked the ships to the US ports, has there been much of a delay btwn ship arrival and TYD updating to step 9 (arrival at local port)?

I see the same thing with my car. Boat is in Benicia according to the tracker one day, now back out in the pacific. Sa says it’s at the port
