Does anyone know which ship will next sail from Emden and when? My car has been sitting there since June 2 and my SA say it will be shipped on June 15. However, someone on this site says the next ship leaves on June 18. Any info would be appreciated
My car has been in Emden since May 30. SA told me today it looks like it will load tomorrow....
I’m a total newbie waiting for my car. Grabbed an allocation yesterday and completed initial config yesterday. I live in SW Florida and dealer is in Barrington,Il. You say you want to inspect the car before trucked back to VA. I had not thought about doing that.
Help me understand why you are inspecting. Although, it’s an expensive car and I suppose it’s crazy not to look it over before shipped to me. Ordered Targa GTS btw. Thanks

It’s not really necessary for me to go inspect but have plenty of air miles and just decided it made for a good day trip. I have purchased other cars w/o going to inspect so it isn’t really necessary but enjoy Chicago and never hurts to meet the people you are dealing with if you want to build better relationships should I want something that is more difficult to obtain down the road.

Depends on which port you're coming into. Davisville RI vs Baltimore MD vs Jacksonville FL. If your SA told you you're shipping out on 15th then you're probably coming into Baltimore on Wolfsburg, assuming you make it onto the ship on time. Where are you picking up your car?
SA just texted to let me know everything has cleared Port PDI and customs so car should be at the dealership early next week. TDY also updated today showing I was at Step 9. Getting close!

The upside, they put Michelin PS on it.......The downside, it was supposed to arrive at the dealer July 25th, now it says Aug. 19th.

Got my Targa 4S today! Thanks to all on this thread who shared their journey along the way. The shared enthusiasm was a treat to experience and it made the wait much more fun. It is now off to the detailer for a week for PPF/Ceramic/radar, but what a great day!
