What does GM do differently?

They wrap the whole car is a very soft felt like material. Most panels are wrapped separately with elastic and tie strings holding them on. No Tape. Works great. I have ordered 2 in the last few years

Exactly what I am talking about. Unfortunately, Porsche only wraps the higher end cars that way.

GM only wraps the higher end “car” that way. Remember, the 992s we’re buying here are the mundane versions. GM and Porsche are not in the same level.

My post said the GM corvette plant. They wrap their 60k and their high end Z06 that way, but I am not here to argue with you. Just doesn"t make any since to stick tape on a new car and leave it on for weeks or months
at a time

My T was completed over the weekend (or thereabouts) got the photos Saturday in the middle of the night. TYD still shows me as in production though.

Same issue here. Car's been in JAX port since late December. Just got notification that they will need to delay PECATL delivery - no ETA. Not sure what is going on.

I'm in the same situation as you. I received three photos, and when I downloaded them and viewed the EXIF data, I noticed the following:

Photo 1 (Paint Shop) = 1/23 @ 8:31pm
Photo 2 (Assembly) = 1/24 @ 1:05pm
Photo 3 (Final Assembly) = 1/24 @ 2:32pm

and TYD shows that 1/14 was end of manufacturing, but it just never updated, and this morning my end of manufacturing was moved to 2/19, and that also means my pick up was pushed out 4 weeks from end of March to end of April now as a result.

I'm just guessing it has to do with my 19 Exclusive Manufacture items as part of my spec, but not too sure.

I didn't think to look at the file information for the photos. Pretty neat if accurate:

Paint: 1/25 2:58am
Body: 1/25 11:19am
Assembly: 1/25 7:07pm

Don’t pay attention to the changes in delivery date on TYD - my car completed manufacture and I had the pics - TYD revised dealer delivery to 90 days out ‼️
TYD is now back to “normal” and delivery is scheduled for 3/2/24

East coast deliveries typically take 35 to 40 days after manufacturing completion depending on vessel availability.

Obviously there are exceptions with some vehicles delayed either in Germany or here in the US

Really hope you are right. I wish they would tell us why dates move around so much.

I found two really cool videos from Shmee when he ordered his 991.2 GT3. He actually got on the actual production line (within inches of) and watched his GT3 get assembled. They actually let him place his PORSCHE letters on the back of his GT3. His second video showed how the 911 go to a separate facilities down the road to have many of the Exclusive Manufacture items installed... Very interesting process to remove the stuff that is installed during the assembly line, and replacing it with the Exclusive Manufactured items we spec'ed...

For those who have never seen the 911 assembly line nor the Exclusive Manufacturing building, these are pretty cool videos to watch!

No...see my picture above. Every single Corvette is wrapped for transport. Here's the Bowling Green yard:
