I wonder why it’s always a few days between San Diego and Benencia, but for Neptune it’s almost 10 days

I agree that date difference is odd. I looked at some old schedules and a couple ships actually went to Benicia before San Diego.

Thanks, @kurquhart ! I saw the updated schedule this morning too so the RoRo gods may have heard my pleas. I'm cautiously optimistic Viking Emerald will fill the March void for those of us with original deliveries planned for that month. The plus side is that it's going straight from Emden to San Diego and Benicia; I don't see any stops on the east coast or Latin America for now. On the negative side, I do see that it is highlighted in light blue with the footnote "subject to volume situation". I hope there will be enough VWs, Audis and Porsches on board to have it depart on Feb 6th. Otherwise, it may hang out in Emden for some additional time OR we'll have to wait until Glovis Cosmos a month later (worst case).

Feb 6th can't come quick enough....

I thought my 911-T was coming home in March... Not any more. Just got updated to April. I suspect it's related to the many Exclusive Manufacture items (19 in total) I have in my spec... Ahh well...

Neptune Barcelona just left Santa Marta and is headed to the canal via Cristobal. Says it will be there tomorrow.

NB now moving towards Panama; ETA mid-day Tues. Glovis Comet anchored for only about 12h; hope for a queueing delay that is no worse.

I wouldnt be surprised if it's slip availability. It will be tedious to watch the boat sit for a week just outside of Benicia. This happened with my GT3 delivery in November.

Glovis Comet spent several days last week idling off the coast, too.

When I lived in the Bay Area and was tracking my Cayenne via Marine Traffic site, I watched the ship head south to Monterey and do some loops. Similar to planes doing circles around an airport while waiting to land. My wife and I had the crazy idea of heading to the GG bridge and watch the RoRo ship pass underneath as it headed to Benicia; We ended up skipping it since the ship came in late at night.

Good luck with the NB!

Now NB has to wait its turn through the canal. With the persistent drought, hopefully the canal isn't back up too much.
