Spring is a really good time to get a new car, because you can really enjoy it, especially if it is a Targa or Cabriolet!

Exciting to read of move ups. Nothing of such here with a May 2024 delivery (original delivery Nov 2023). Fingers crossed for some good news and movement like the above!

Wow! We’re quite close.

Targa 4S allocation received 1/8, freeze 3/17, production in late April finishing 5/2, delivery 6/8.

My car is still stuck at the port. My SA said that all 911s are on hold there at the moment with no details on why. ETA was moved to 2/2 from 1/30. Hoping that ETA stays.

Seems like we get a January hold every year. Something with EPA registration being annual and they have to wait for paperwork, then the floodgates lift. A January stop sale is seemingly common.

Oh wow, are you saying your car arrived in Houston December 18th and has been sitting outside this whole time?!? Luckily (I think) my 718 GTS is at least in a warehouse in Germany awaiting a ride. Not 100% sure but that's what it seems like. Finished production November 24th so yeah, it's been interesting.

Yes and can"t find out any reasons why from dealer or Porsche. Getting very concerned. I am fairly certain the paint will need a fair amount of correction from the tape Porsche puts on the upper portion of the cars, especially with it being left on so long and being out in the elements. They could learn a few things from the GM corvette plant on how to wrap cars for shipment.

After the manufacturing step is complete Step 5 I believe. How quickly does it move to port usually? Mine shows 1/26/24 complete port next and no news.

I'm told there actually is a VW owned warehouse where cars that aren't going to ship in a week or so go, hence why I don't have the steps "Your Porsche is on its way to the German port" and "Your Porsche has arrived at the German port" completed. My last step is #5, which is finished production.

This looks like it could be a holding facility.
