Dont buy the clear ones without checking with your dealer. I did that and they said, “we offer the parts and install free to our customers.”........
My dealer swapped out the Side Markers for free on my 2015 Cayman without me asking. Yet did not do it on my 2019 Targa 4GTS, even when I asked about it.
I think it's a "Hit or Miss" thing, yet it never hurts to ask.
its going Halifax and then Baltimore.... the large ship routes are weird... this ship left Emden went into the English Channel and then made a left and went all the way down to the coast of Western Sahara and then made a right towards Americas but in a curved manner to end up in Halifax.... I am sure there are routing reasons for this, like weather, winds, currents, closeness to some land during the trip in case of Emergencies etc... but to a regular guy that thinks why don't you just take a straight line looks weird..

Correct, it is a blanket statement recommending people not to purchase their replacement front markers after ordering a car, without first checking with their dealer. It isn’t “ALL dealers,” that’s why I recommended people to check with their dealer before ordering, so they don’t find themselves in the position I did.
Sorry to those that interpreted my statement as something that all Porsche dealerships will do, YMMV. Just trying to help others out.
@jbentley1018thanks for posting... mystery solved... I have wondered why this ship left and zig zagged and then went back.... I am hoping the cars were not damaged.... I saw an article from 2-3 years back that SFL Composer ran into some major storms in the Atlantic and several cars on board were damaged... if you google it it will come up
I've got a 718 GTS that is onboard SFL Composer as of December 19. Houston is supposed to be the port of entry for my car, so it's going to be awhile if it's going to Halifax and Baltimore first. Appreciate any port updates along the way in this thread!
Mine bounced around a couple of times but made it to the dealership within a week of the first dates given. You’re pretty far from being manufactured and I wouldn’t worry about it. Check again in a week or three.
