Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
Things are starting to feel real now after 2 years, 3 months, 6 days, 16 hours & 7 minutes from the point of deposit to the reception of the Track Your Dreams email and confirmed allocation.
Currently on the Crystal Ray that just recently passed through the Panama Canal. Interestingly, the TYD estimate has the car on the boat just south of Cabo San Lucas, and never actually showed the boat first stopping in Brunswick. So I'm guessing they are doing some clever estimation between expected arrival date and current date. Which meant the first part of the journey seemed much faster than comparably to the last few days.
But for PEC delivery in LA, the car actually will arrive in Benicia and then get trucked down to LA. Where I'll pick up sometime in January and then drive it back north along highway 1, something I've longed to do for a some time.

Finally sold my beloved 997.2 GT3 after deciding that I wanted to move on to newer 911 that's easier to live with on a daily basis (no more track days due to family responsibilities/kids) Originally thought I wanted a 2GTS or a 2S but a 1.5-2 year wait list for one had me considering a Carrera T allocation that was ready to spec for a March 2024 build. I wasn't too familiar withe the T model so researched it on the internet, watched many suspiciously-glowing YouTube reviews, and of course read up about on these forums. I've concluded that the overly positive reviews on this model may actually be well-deserved! It may even be kismet that the T's analog nature and its base motor's naturally-aspirated feel despite being a twin turbo will make it the closer to my 997.2 than any other current Carrera model, which is a good thing in my book.
So I placed my deposit to secure this T allocation and below is my spec. Yes it may seem a bit bloated with options that most probably won't choose for a T, but this will be a personal fair-weather daily for me. I welcome any critique and recommendations for changes though.

The most important thing is that you get what you want, and it's great the Porsche gives us so many options.
With that said, you've got a lot selected that I think many here would suggest reconsidering on a T which encourages minimalism and weight savings.
Things like Glass Roof, 18 ways, and FAL definitely add up in weight, not to mention RAS.

Sorry, wrong forum, but right audience. It looks as if the Aphrodite Leader has left San Diego, implying they have a whole bunch of cars theyre sorting through. Hopefully news soon.
Nice to meet everyone.

My Targa GTS arrived at Benicia on Tuesday and I just received notice the car is on the way to the dealer. Hopefully whatever is causing everyone delays is resolved.
