I called my salesman in June of 2021, right after taking delivery of a Taycan, and told him I wanted a 911 and was looking for May/June 2023 delivery.
We stayed in contact with updates about options and when to place the order over the next 18 months, placed the order in December 2022, he snagged an allocation in March 2023, and here I am, June 2023 taking delivery. Exactly as requested. Fantastic! 😃
I know a lot of it was out of his hands after the allocation, and the manufacturer and shipping could have gone different as it has for some of you, but I’m very happy and feel very lucky that this worked out for me the way I hoped two years ago.
Especially as I turn 40 in two months, so I snuck in my first 911 before then. A manual cab (two of my favorite things). 😍
Sorry for the bad pics. PDI isn’t complete. And then I still have to wait for PPF after that.
I’m hoping to be released from PPF jail by 7/1, because if not, I’ll be out of town and it’ll be 7/10 before I can pick it up. 😞

Picked up my T yesterday…
Drove about 250 miles yesterday to my destination….
Really excellent Porsche….looks, sounds in the cabin, ergonomics…..this T has a very solid feel..such as a heavier feel to the doors when closing….
Suspension is firm especially on bumpy roads…yet still comfortable for daily driving
Sport exhaust to me is very nice…no drone…
PDK is ultra smooth and quick…My GT3 Touring has the manual tranny so for my DD T I went with PDK..
MPG 27.0 driving 75-95…altering RPM..
Base stereo not terrible but definitely could use more bass…the treble gets shrill at higher volumes
Overall I am extremely pleased…

Anyone have a webcam link for the port of Emden?

I would be willing to drive across town and pick her up. Refreshing 1000 times still hasn't moved it to stage nine.

GTS Swap for Carrera T allocation *unexpected*
Sometimes funny things happen when you least expect them to. Had a confirmed allocation on GTS Cab for a July lock with expected Mid November delivery. Was notified 4 days ago about a Carrera T in transit to my dealer and was offered the car. Long story but car hit the ground today and elected to give up my GTS allocation. Cannot wait.

Got a chance to unwrap the car myself today and wade through all of the build docs, covers, screen protectors. Plant build sheet ( in German) ….like Christmas. My second new 992 and never gets old.
