*Finally* GTS CAB allocation-July Lock; Nov Delivery
Been patient and finally received an allocation on a GTS Cab. Essentially done with the specifications but am battling with the Manual transmission vs. PDK decision. July 20 is the lock date but I am sure I will get it figured out.
Only other decision I am struggling with is wether to go with Center locks or option for the 5 lug Spyder wheels, as I swap winters myself. Would appreciate any feedback on that. My last 992 delivery was the fated Felicity Ace before she went to the bottom of the Atlantic. (November 2021) Let's' hope my good luck continues!

For those waiting for Glovis Sigma it has crossed the Panama Canal…on its way to one stop in South America before turning north for Mexico, San Diego and final destination of Benecia.
it appears to be slightly behind schedule but progress being made. We are almost there!

I apologize for laughing out loud when I saw your comment about the Felicity Ace - that had to suck.
For transmission, I really prefer the PDK. You don't have a clutch pedal, but you can put in manual and control gear changes, so you can still be involved when you want to. But when just want to get somewhere, auto mode is really nice. And the programming on the PDK is so good that in Sport and especially Sport Plus modes it shifts just like you would yourself, which is very cool. If the car will be a "weekend toy" that you drive occasionally, get the manual. But for a car that gets driven a lot for errands, commuting, or a long cruises for vacations and the like, the PDK is fantastic.
I'd recommend the 5-lug wheels if you do your own wheel changes unless you really like the look of the center locks. But being able to use "standard" tools to remove, reinstall, and properly torque things is super convenient.

I bought tools for changing CL. I’m really skeptical that it’s as hard as some make it out to be, but I guess I’ll find out soon. I plan on taking a wheel off shortly after delivery just to see.
I should mention that my line of work includes startup and service of large industrial machinery, and while I specialize in programming and electrical, I do a fair amount of mechanical (and hydraulic) work as well (as needed), so my bar for what’s difficult is probably higher than average.
