Are you still at Porsche of the Main Line? I purchased a 718 Cayman there over the summer, but my sales person has since left. I'm considering upgrading to a 911 if there is a fair deal to be had. A few dealers have leftover 2018 and 2019 911 Carerra T's which they seem to be very aggressive on. Considering going this route. Still up in the air... as my base 718 is a blast!
Porsche of the Mainline is my dealer and they've been stellar for me, now for the last 13-14 ish years. Honestly, all their guys are great, I use Lee or Erik there and now even David Donohue is there, which is pretty awesome to have a sports car delivered by someone who's got a ton of Porsche motorsports history and Daytona championships under their belt.

Just ordered a 992 Carrera S with $144K MSRP. Repeat customer in SoCal. Asked for 5%, telling them I’ve done research and believe it to be fair for all. They accepted and gave me the discount. Quickest “negotiation” I’ve ever had. Not the biggest (or smallest) discount I’ve ever got on a car but I’m happy with it. Now I just need to figure out how to wait until late July for my car!!
Oh, and for reference this same dealer told me 30 days earlier (while I was doing a test drive) that they’re currently NOT DISCOUNTING orders...only in stock vehicles. Could have been BS, but I wouldn’t put it past them. Too much money in this area. We’re home to all the craziest markup tales you see online across all the brands. That’s Orange County for you.

they could have got me a slot of late-may/early-June delivery but I actually wanted a later delivery.

Same Here. Placed my order early Feb, and it locks in 2 hours according to the Track Your Dream app! Delivery May 15.

I placed my order in mid Jan and should be receiving the car later this month (hopefully). Basically a 2 month turnaround. When I ordered my car, the dealer had traded into an existing allocation that locked within 2 weeks of my order.
Lots of variables, in other words.
