Porsche of the Mainline is my dealer and they've been stellar for me, now for the last 13-14 ish years. Honestly, all their guys are great, I use Lee or Erik there and now even David Donohue is there, which is pretty awesome to have a sports car delivered by someone who's got a ton of Porsche motorsports history and Daytona championships under their belt.

I was not at POML. I am no longer with Porsche. Obviously I have people I deal with at most of the regional dealers but I had my fill of the dealership life.

I picked up my car 3 weeks ago in Utah and got a 4% discount, around 6k. The dealership claims to have an 8% margin on the 992 and they would split it with me. Seemed reasonable enough. The car is amazing!!!

Just ordered a 992 Carrera S with $144K MSRP. Repeat customer in SoCal. Asked for 5%, telling them I’ve done research and believe it to be fair for all. They accepted and gave me the discount. Quickest “negotiation” I’ve ever had. Not the biggest (or smallest) discount I’ve ever got on a car but I’m happy with it. Now I just need to figure out how to wait until late July for my car!!

Oh, and for reference this same dealer told me 30 days earlier (while I was doing a test drive) that they’re currently NOT DISCOUNTING orders...only in stock vehicles. Could have been BS, but I wouldn’t put it past them. Too much money in this area. We’re home to all the craziest markup tales you see online across all the brands. That’s Orange County for you.

Wow. I placed my order on Feb 20. Was told 90-100 days which takes me to around Memorial Day. Surprised they told you late July. I’m in New York. Not sure if that takes less time.

they could have got me a slot of late-may/early-June delivery but I actually wanted a later delivery.

As the months roll on, the discounts will improve. That's the price you pay to be an early adopter.

Anyone in Canada getting a decent discount? It’s a smaller network of dealers and I’m pretty sure they all work together.

It all depends on the allocation - your dealer may have been sitting on an allocation and you happen to step into it late in the game, whereas Drizz has a brand new allocation. Or he may just have a demand order with anticipated delivery in July.

I placed my order in mid Jan and should be receiving the car later this month (hopefully). Basically a 2 month turnaround. When I ordered my car, the dealer had traded into an existing allocation that locked within 2 weeks of my order.

Lots of variables, in other words.
