David, you are killing me with that repeated "custom offset" emphasis. Do you think more people order $10k+ wheelsets from you because you have a magic offset? I really like your builds and dedication to your business but that is kind of a turn-off for me. Offsets are not that complicated or magic.

Btw, I also thought multipiece AL13 wheels are in the price range of HRE, Velos, ANRKY etc...but apparently not and more like Rotiform etc?

I think it depends on the AL13 rim. I personally like their 3 piece R60 which shows a retail price range of $2,650 to $3,550 each whereas the rims on that turbo are the 3 piece C007R which are priced at $2,300 to $2,950 retail. So both are 3 piece rims, but the R60 can be over $2,000 more for a set. Furthermore, I think AL13 finish options may be less pricey than HRE. Then you factor in what deals you can get and certain AL13 rims would be much less than certain HRE rims. I will say though that when I priced out the AL13 R60, it was pretty much as expensive as some of the more pricey HRE 3 piece rims.

That was my experience too when I priced a set of AL13 last year, I also quoted others like HRE, Velos (their list price on single piece is in that price range) and a few others...and eventually went a different route.

PS: The prices on the webpages are often for the smallest size (18") and cheapest finish option.

Beautiful. Just ordered a set of P104SCs for my GTS. Was waffling between the P201s and P104SCs...your S104SCs in center locks make me more confident I picked correctly.

Yes, many people order wheels from us because of our fitments. We're known in the industry for them, and customers that spend $10k+ on wheels want to have the peace of mind that the person that they're buying wheels from know how to spec them properly so that there are no headaches. We spend a lot of money, time, sweat, and effort into developing these wheel fitments for every new car that comes out. Often times, this means us actually buying a car so that we can bring it in-house to 3D scan it and test fit wheels on it. If not wanting to share this information freely with non-customers is a turn-off for you then I do apologize but this is one of the ways that we make a living.

AL13 has a few different wheel series. Some wheel series undercut HRE & ANRKY pricing while others cost about the same and in some rare cases even more. It just depends on wheel model essentially.

Well said David and I respect that. I don't ask the restaurant for the recipe before purchasing my meal (or after for that matter).

That's really great that you provide that service and making sure they fit well and particular for people who do not know what offset is. That is very much appreciated and great for all ... but treating it like a trade secret is just over the top. You make it sound more complicated than it is, really. I contacted some of the named brands directly and they happily offer all dimensions (and yes, they all have dimensions and lots of experience with actual cars too). My last set I got a complete drawing of fenders, brakes and suspension and how the wheel will fit into it. And then there is the cheap method - measure straight down from your fender to OEM wheel lip (whose spec is published) and punch numbers in any online offset calculator to see what makes it flush, hell-a-flush or whatever you like. Or simply google what others have and look at their pic's if you like the fitment. So many option, nothing too complicated. From looking at your pics and knowing the wheel width, I probably can guess to +/-1mm what offset they have.

PS: And what you are afraid of? That someone gets to know your "custom offset" and orders from someone else? Does that really worry you, if so, its fragile value preposition.

Very weird comparison. There are pages and pages of examples of cars with all wheel dimensions to look how it will look like. There are free online calculators, manufacturers who happily offer it etc. Offset is not a secret recipe. I actually dont care of David spells it out or not, I just find it a bit awkward making it like a secret recipe. That's all. And in particular for an open forum community where we share info for others to learn from and use it. Just look into the wheel thread and you find all answers you need.

We respectfully disagree. You're really oversimplifying the entire process which is kind of a slap in the face to those of us who put in a lot of hard work to ensure our customers' happiness. If you genuinely feel that it's that easy then we wish you nothing but the best in your endeavors.

I think you dont get my point - I very much appreciate the work and dedication you put in but I doubt you loose sales if you post the offset. I would argue posting it will build an even larger fan base as you now can communicate with the "nerds" and they can openly discuss all details and maybe chime in to have it adjusted a mm here or there. The people who don't know what it means and simply ask you to make it fit well are not affected either. So, you are worry about a few people who get to know the offset from you and then run to a competitor? These people probably would have done so for other reasons anyway. So, in my business we are 100% transparent with customers and it serves us well.
