Funny because I just ordered one set of split 5s and another in satin black.

There's a reason split 5s are popular and it's likely why they are the OEM design of the GT3 wheel: they are the lightest and strongest. It's why I bought them.
Black wheels? I agree. But on certain cars and certain colors, no other color looks as good. My GT3 is Slate Gray with black accents and PCCBs. Black wheels look amazing (see profile pic).

David - Is this standard GTS ride height or is this lowered. Looks awesome!

FWIW I appreciate the effort that goes into developing and guaranteeing fitment quality/functionality and the understanding that it is a differentiating factor in your business. As someone in the sales business, I’m well aware that knowledge isn’t free to obtain and is rightfully protected. If there wasn’t value in it, it wouldn’t be a topic of contention.

With respect to the issue of whether high end forged rims are stronger, lighter, etc. and the whole "you get what you pay for" argument, check out this very interesting video below about the durability of BBS E88 rims on cars that are driven super hard on the Nurburgring. I personally love BBS wheels and E88s in particular as I'm a sucker for BBS mesh rims and I ran the original BBS RS rims on my 240SX and also had BBS RSIIs back in the day. But there is no doubt that some cheap rims like the Pro Track flow formed rims that are compared to the BBS E88s in this video are vastly stronger. This is not an indictment of BBS rims or expensive rims in general. In fact, I have a set of expensive BBS rims on order right now. But it's just to point out that high end, expensive, highly tested, name brand rims with a rich history in motorsports does not necessarily mean a better rim than a less than $1k/rim flow formed, less popular brand. There are quality rims at many price points. I personally gravitate towards expensive rims simply b/c HRE, BBS, AL13s, Anrky, etc. just have a better more refined look IMO, not necessarily because I think they are functionally superior.

I’ve bought Forgeline wheels and they had no problem giving me the offsets, I’m guessing they work quite hard to provide a quality product as well.

I also don’t get the Wheels Boutique claim of competitive pricing on HRE’s at least. I’ve only received full list quote from them. Last year when I was deciding on which wheels to buy for my 992, I emailed them asking for a quote on a set of HREs. I got an email back asking if we could talk on the phone, I asked if I could at least get pricing first and then we could make time to talk and never heard back.
When our clients purchase a set of wheels form us we share our offset information with them. Sometimes we even create an open discussion between the customer and the engineers from the wheel brand that they are purchasing. We never sign off on a build until the customer confirms the offsets that they want to be used.

Per HRE rules, we can only quote retail pricing through email. Over the phone we can discuss all the deals that are available. HRE put these rules in place to help protect dealers from getting into pricing wars with one another.

Please privately message me your email so I can look into your claim of an unanswered email. I will make sure to review it and take any necessary actions with any team member that may have dropped the ball.

Thank you very much. We're glad that you like it. We used KW Height Adjustable Springs on that 992 GTS with the AL13 Wheels.

And to tie a bow on everything that's been discussed over the last few pages of the thread, we'd like to take a moment to express a sentiment that holds true in any business. While it is always our intention to ensure the utmost satisfaction of everyone that contacts us, it is regrettably impossible to keep everyone happy at all times. We have been in business for over two decades and the only thing that has remained constant, and will continue to remain constant, are our efforts to provide excellent products/services and maintain strong relationships with our clients and potential customers. We acknowledge that there may be instances where we fall short of certain expectations or encounter situations where preferences diverge. The only way to improve that is to stay committed to our number one priority of offering exceptional service and customer care. Big thank you to everyone who has shared their point of view and also to those who have supported us - you are equally an integral part of our business journey.

Let's get this thread back on track. Customer submitted Porsche 992 C4S on HRE P101's

That wheel gap kills an otherwise awesome setup.

Any comment comparing KW vs Techart HAS? I had and have both but on different cars and can't make out a real difference bit read Techart uses linear spring rates vs progressive.

(PS: any reason you always use red?)

Aren't the Techart rebranded KW?

We haven't had experience with the TechArt HAS kit for the 992 just yet. But in our past experiences with them on previous generation 911's, they had the least amount of drop with the most carryover of ride comfort when comparing them to other brands.

Thanks - I assume you refer to Techart Springs and not HAS - ('least amount of drop"), right? So, Techart and KW HAS or fixed springs are not the same, I imply vs just rebranded KW. I am very happy with my Techart - dialed in the drop to my liking and comfort is fine. But same was true for my KW's.

Just PMd you the email. FWIW, I’m not trying to trash you guys or HRE, just giving feedback as to my experience. Also FWIW, we all constantly get surveys from businesses claiming to want to improve the customer experience. Most of us know these go nowhere. I get you guys have to play by HREs rules but it is silly to think that providing the discounted price by phone prevents people from price shopping. All it is is a different medium and only serves to frustrate customers. Same with the custom offset, I’m sure most customers will provide them to the forum and it also has been said here, they aren’t that hard to figure out. Again, only serving to frustrate potential customers.

Do what you will with the feedback and forward to HRE. As I’ve seen from this discussion and history, I’m pretty sure the policies won’t change.

That was my understanding. Regardless, KW is the OG suspension company with the best products in the business. Techart is just a tuner. I’d stick with KW given an option.

@WheelsB Hey David, do you or HRE itself have a set of color/finish plaques that you can send out to customers before they lock in their order? Thanks!
