I'm inclined to agree with this.

Burning Brakes
too each his own re subjective styling
However you’re clearly wrong about the 992.1 GT3 power reaching 550+. When has Porsche ever increased hp by 50 between GT3 generations?
Answer—-never.
And 50-100 lb weight increase is very noticeable in the wrong way to those who track and/or truly drive these cars. Hopefully the GT department can keep the weight increase less than those amounts for the GT cars.
475 from 435 997.2/991 2010-2014 =9.2%,
So another 9.2% = 546
So I will go with 545 as my final answer!

How do the track widths compare?
Yeah, I don't see why they'd put a worse engine in it. If NA, I expect it will be better. If hybrid or turbo, I bet it will still be better in some ways than the current NA. Porsche hasn't screwed up a GT3 yet, and I doubt they will with the 992.

So 992 is 50-75kg heavier than 991.2. This really puts AP in a bind to develop something special. Those wanting a lighter car without a carbon tub are in a fantasy world. And what about RS 992 which will almost surely be hybrid. It will be over 3700-3800 lbs. This really seems like a poor update not to mention that the interior is horrible!! Will be an interesting update cycle. Even with 530 hp 992 GT3 will need something else if it is plus 50-75kg to make any real performance gains.
Mclaren is likely my next move. Carbon tub and they are getting lighter and less expensive with an overlap of a low optioned 570 and a highly optioned 992. In the past my biggest concern with mclaren is support. Another new dimension is Audi R8 with a Lamborghini NA V10. With the pricing overlap here Porsche really loses a lot of its position as an in between sports car. By that I mean it’s in between a mustang level and Ferrari/exotic level in terms of pricing. The overlap means more competition.

I don't fault Porsche for not initially offering a manual. Don't forget that it wasn't offered in any of the three 991 RS models. The PDK-only GT cars have continued to sell very well. If the 992 GT3 is PDK only, some will cry, but they'll still sell them all. I have three manual Porsches, but I love the PDK in the GT3, and would pick PDK again.
