Not when you're comparing experienced DE drivers in the top run groups. There, the car is often a bigger differentiator than the drivers.

Very modern while clearly a 911. Some new design elements and didn’t really screw anything up. Well done.

I'm surprised they made LG an option color for the 992, I'd be a little peeved if I had a LG 991.2 3RS now.

I am surprised given how BRIGHT/BOLD LG is, that it carried over into 992 available colors.

I guess UV is the only 991 RS special color that didn't make it into the regular rotation.

I don't think I'm in the market for this car (?), but just for fun I came up with this config to create a luxurious sports car:

I specked on out as well and used the same silver but did the blue interior. Very similar except down here in AZ, we don’t understand heated seats. Ventilated seats are standard equipment though.

One contact at Porsche, and not the usual suspects that you'd expect to say it, said the next GT3 will be a beast in terms of performance. Sounds like not just on power. As though anyone would doubt that given the 991.2 RS times at the Ring, etc.

Everyone is delusional here. They will keep N/A in the gt3, the next one will be better 100%. Porsche knows what they are doing and after seeing the 992 in person today WOW! it is absolutely stunning, the interior immediately outdates the 991 and I’m someone who’s getting a 991 gt3rs I’ll admit it and I’m sure the next rs will be better as well. The sleekness of the new car is next level they really knocked it out the park on this one. The new car is so impressive and I cannot wait to see what they do to the gt3. I am betting 550+ NA hp with a weight around 50-100 pounds difference max. As far as the 991 shifter it would be criminal to put that huge clunker in a dashboard so minimalist and sleek.

get with the times people I am getting my 3rs in a month and I’ll admit the new car is amazing!

From an article in Road and Track https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-sho...specs-details/

Dr. Walliser said that Andreas Preuninger and Porsche Motorsport are ramping up work on a new GT3, too. And, thankfully, it should keep the 991.2 GT3's amazing 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six. Undoubtedly a GT3 RS and possibly a GT2 of some sort will follow, though Walliser said there won't be another 911 R.

too each his own re subjective styling

However you’re clearly wrong about the 992.1 GT3 power reaching 550+. When has Porsche ever increased hp by 50 between GT3 generations?
Answer—-never.

And 50-100 lb weight increase is very noticeable in the wrong way to those who track and/or truly drive these cars. Hopefully the GT department can keep the weight increase less than those amounts for the GT cars.

Somebody moved the mountain!

BTW, NA with KERS or EV or Hybrid of some sort can still make their claim of NA valid

The Big Golden Arch styling at the LA Auto Show was directed towards USA buyers as familiar and regular just as the slogan " I'm Lovin It! "

The future guess:

Next 2020 992 GT3 = basically the 2019 GT3 RS NA engine repeated and tweaked for nominal hp and torque gains.

Next 992 GT3RS - NA with hybrid to 650 hp - using 918 technology

Next GT2 RS = Turbo with more hp to 750 hp or maybe Turbo-hybrid to 800
