GT3RS Allocation Thread
#257
November is right around the corner. I'm excited but I have a strong feeling there won't be many made. Look at the 4RS numbers. Abysmal. I wouldn't be surprised if there are less 3RS than touring made. I hope otherwise, but...

Still, low numbers. They won't be making more of the 4rs likely as it's a swan song.

They'll probably sell more 992.1 GT3RSs than 991.2 GT3RSs since the demand is there and the price is HIGH.

If you go to page 3 of the same thread, I think those lower numbers were for MY 2022.

The 1045 was for MY23 Projected Sales.
There are two different documents that were posted on that thread.

Not mine but a friend's. It's just a demand order.

I bought a Porsche (not GT car) from my dealer today. We talked about GT car allocations, and FWIW he was doubtful that I can get a 3RS or 4RS allocation, but somewhat hopeful that I can get a GT3 allocation, though it may not be until later next year.

So the 4RS is only being made in the allotment that was for MY22 and MY23, and then its being discontinued?

That being said, it is FOR SURE a swan song, they've already said the cayman is going all electric. So my thoughts are that we are very near that time. When GT3 engines are being used in both the 4RS and GT3 (with sharing most of parts into 3RS engine as well)... that doesn't bode well for further 4RS allocations IMO. If supply is short, they need to fulfill their promises first, and I can't imagine them making more 4RS -instead of- more GT3's. Speculation on my part, but I have a feeling (as I always have) that the 4RS is basically a collectors car out of the box. People complain about GT3 not being driven, just wait in a couple of years all of the 4RS with 30 miles. Ultimately, the 4RS is a parts-bin special and all signs point to a small run of cars before they quit making the ICE 718s altogether.

so basic nothing lol….one very small baby step above me just making my own porsche link on a “i wish” gt3 rs..
Demand orders make sense when Porsche is looking to unload cars its over produced (prior to current environment) and while your dealership might not have another allocation “assigned to them” they can use a demand order to say “hey porsche look over here, if you have an extra build slot we will take it). The allocation drops that happen this month will matter, not someone’s demand order… just saying, I have NO plans to submit a demand order if I am not allowed one of the upcoming allocations this month, as its a waste of my sales mangers time to submit. My 2 cents… just from talking to my SM.
