Demand orders make sense when Porsche is looking to unload cars its over produced (prior to current environment) and while your dealership might not have another allocation “assigned to them” they can use a demand order to say “hey porsche look over here, if you have an extra build slot we will take it). The allocation drops that happen this month will matter, not someone’s demand order… just saying, I have NO plans to submit a demand order if I am not allowed one of the upcoming allocations this month, as its a waste of my sales mangers time to submit. My 2 cents… just from talking to my SM.
whoa trust fund baby.. relax.

spoke to my GM, November it’s happening 👍 allocations will be avail. will let you know when I submit.

omg that’s so flattering, thank you… lol seriously… I wish I came from a long line of financial successful family members such that I could live my life off their hard work and just spend generational wealth…. Sadly I am the guy in my family trying to build such an endeavor through my hard work. No lucky on me being a trust fund baby, but I appreciate the well wishes and flattery that I may have been one.

nope, just sharing my thoughts on what a demand order is really worth… if that hurts peoples opinion just disregard it, after all no generational wealth has been established by my predecessors for us to have generatioanl experience in this

demand orders are actually quite helpful…for some people. As a result Porsche knows who the client is, and if it is for a customer who has a long long track record of buying Porsches, then they will allocate additional slots accordingly.

yeah I didn’t request a demand order, the team there did it on their own for customers that would surely get an allocation. There must be some purpose if they would take the time.

Nobody is ‘hating on them’ if they make you feel good like kicking all 4 tires each time you get in a car, do it. I have heard it’s mostly pointless/fruitless, so I dont bother. I was offered one when I was shopping for my 22 TS and I said ‘ehhhh let me thing about it’ and another dealershi chuckled and said ‘look for an actual allocation, demand orders are nearly worthless’

so back to kicking the tires, shoot maybe something will fall off the car or it will make a strange telling noise, that SOME benefit is gained from doing it…. But for the most part it’s mostly a useless ‘feel good’ activity for some I guess.

Please all submit demand orders it absolutely doesn’t hurt my feelings at all and it makes you feel better like occasionally buying a lotto ticket… then do it..

Ok so back onto allocations.

I take it the only allocations so far are motorsport allocations? The dealership mentioned in that $150k post I assumed was selling their PMNA allocations that their racing team was offered.

Not sure if we're seeing anything yet on the normal PCNA side of allocations.

Previous poster above said 11/22 allocations will drop.

Right. I guess since a guy created a thread where he mentioned commission number and a dealership selling an allocation that maybe they were coming earlier.

There are already allocations with commission numbers and orders. But those are all outside of the US as I understand it. I think the only thing we are seeing right now are waiting lists, promises and demand orders (i.e. no commission numbers)

US 918 owners dont have actual Comm #s yet. They'd be the first end customers to know.
