Not sure I would use race cars if not using a race team, too much prep and stuff to do on track for my likening. We have both Cup cars and RS’s. Some days I also like the easy way, show up adjust tire pressure and do some laps, RS’s are great for that. If doing more serious driving it is always the race cars. Seen too many bad smashes, ambulances and hit too many walls in the past when doing more serious racing to have appetite for 9.9/10 track driving in a road car.
I've owned cup cars - they are a lot of care&feeding - not bad for a 3 day weekend - but way overkill for a single track day (trailer, crew, equipment, slicks) - I've decided to run a GT3 RS because I can bring a crew if I want, but also solo it and drive it to/from the event - you don't have that option with with a full race car.
to each their own - but I'm hoping the GT3 RS does me well for my track days.
Just got my 3RS allocation. Super excited. Been on the list for eight years now. A couple of GT3’s in the meantime. I am planning on European delivery. PTS probably not an option this coming year but might get lucky.
Bumblebee coming to fruition, just got a vin assignment! Dundon Motorsports Headers and Ti Loud Exhaust waiting to be installed. Its gonna be a fun summer of track and B road days!
Milestone dates have been changing frequently the last couple weeks with production starting earlier than initially posted on My Porsche.
Production now scheduled to start Oct 30.
