911ST

Pretty soon, they will be announcing the 992.2 gen carreras and such, so they need to announce and produce the ST in somewhat short order (don't think they want too much overlap between a .1 model and .2).
The 911R was announced late February 2016 (the last MY for 991.1 cars). We are already WAY past that schedule with the 992.1 cars (2023 should be last MY)... it's already June!
I do think they will announce the ST in June meaning deliveries will mostly be Q4 2023/Q1 2024. I got my GT3 allocation June 2022 and my car (and many others) were delivered in Q4 2022 for reference.

I am also curious regarding the width, 911R was based on gt3 narrower body as compared to the gt3rs. Will the ST follow this pattern? Additionally, when Boris Apenbrink was interviewed by PCA regarding the Sport Classic, he said that only 1500 sets of the wider stamping without the turbo inlet were made, and that’s all that they could handle. Does this mean that the ST will not be based on the wider bodied cars (turbo, SC, RS)? Which imo, doesn’t make sense. If you look at the history behind the early ST, it had a larger displacement and a wider track. Perhaps they will accomplish the wider track with the front end only while keeping the rear dimensions in line with the gt3? 🤷🏻♂️ still think it needs a 4.2 to follow the historical name…

if you look specially at the sideskirts you will see the difference in the rear part respect to the one of the Turbo/SC and RS(that are wiiiider than the one of the mules of the ST)
The only thing that let me hopes again are the rims....if the ST will have the RS wheels...how can they fit on a slim body? i don't know the offset of the standard GT3 compared to RS ones, but i think are not the same.
Sincerely i wait for something more "exclusive",instead is not so easy to see the difference from a standard touring(not that i don't like a Touring...but only for tell that at the start seems the St was based on a RS...instead seems based on a GT3)

None of the ST mules seem to have the RS wide body

That's disappointing. The original early '70s 911 S/T was all about the wider rear fenders and mismatched wheels with the larger minilites in back and fuchs up front. Modern "S/T" without those is really a 911R.2, which isn't bad, but why call it an S/T?

It's like a Carrera T but with more (S)peed

From my latest research seems that the St will be based on a slim body,at least on the rear...in front i don't know..but at the rear "unfortunately" for my taste, seems not wide.
