At least they added a gurney lip (which Techart has been offering for 3+ years now). Looks good IMO

The only thing that let me hopes again are the rims....if the ST will have the RS wheels...how can they fit on a slim body? i don't know the offset of the standard GT3 compared to RS ones, but i think are not the same.

Sincerely i wait for something more "exclusive",instead is not so easy to see the difference from a standard touring(not that i don't like a Touring...but only for tell that at the start seems the St was based on a RS...instead seems based on a GT3)
What about the sport classic body? Should fit the wheels and not have air vents, which are only for aero on the 3rs

I believe they only made 1500 of the rear quarter panel sets (Turbo without inlets). So that would rule out the SC body.

They would still have the stamps used would they not?

Could always stamp out more rear quarters?

The mag wheels would imply the rear would have to be wide to account for them

Why can’t Porsche produce 990 different offset Magnesium rear wheels? Or for that matter 1973 different offset wheels?

Yes of course, once the tool has been made, they can stamp as many parts as they would like.

Not true. Dyes only last so long. I remember reading somewhere that this particular one was only good for like 2000 stamps.

These test cars with BB/LB plates are pretty much the final form of the car. They are only road testing final settings and validating at this point, what you see is what you get there won't be any major changes.

I’m hoping this will be a pure drivers car. We know it won’t be the ultimate track machine - the GT3 RS is.

To be more specific, they can stamp enough parts to meet the relatively low volume of vehicles that Porsche produces. I highly doubt Porsche would do a soft tool for such a large panel and put it into production. It will likely be a hard tool which volume will not be an issue.

Width of 911 ST

IT APPEARS MOST OF THE ENTIRE LINE is the same width at the rear. Why the concern the ST is going to be narrow body when everything else is wide, Carrera T to Turbo S.

As noted above people are being imprecise / inaccurate calling it narrow. Pre-992 there were three widths now only two and both previously were considered wide. Now we have two. The SC appears to be the narrowER chassis but is still somewhat wide, just not like the SC (now vents) or RS/Turbo (w vents.)

I also don't but the comments about soft too Land die. I've never know of one that can only handle 1500 stamping then it loses integrity.
