As someone who recently underwent a penectomy, I do feel the touring I just picked up is a bit more special due to rarer production, classic 911 shape, and EM interior… its an ‘IYKYK’ type of car which I like. I personally don’t think the S/T is $100k more special but would obviously take one at MSRP because it’s like printing money.
Goodbye ****
Hello eunich
My favorite would have been your touring spec...with a wing.
Confident, because they have a car that is STILL better (because it won't have every feature of the S/T) than the 992.2 Touring at roughly the same cost as a 992.2 Touring.
Confident, because they DGAF what they do to the 992.2 Touring.
I don’t care, at all, about 911 R versus 991.2 Touring or S/T versus 992.2 Touring, personally. As far as I’m concerned, real GT3s (and any car of the type) have wings.
It’s hard to say that the 992.2 Touring will be definitely worse than the S/T, however, given we don’t know what the facelift will offer. For one, I would expect Lamborghini’s Active Wheel control to feature on some variants of the 992.2 generation.
Thing that is lost in all this bickering is that we are all winners here. Touring is amazing. S/T is going to be amazing. Whichever you have (some probably both), please drive the crap out of them and enjoy. We are living at the end of a golden era of NA, ICE and manual transmission. It’s almost over sadly. The fact we can still get these cars is epic
Spike, Lieberman, Zuckerman... Spike's Car Radio.
S/T discussion starts around 14:00.
"This is the most prefect evolution of the 997 GT3 delivered in the S/T."

I watched review.entertainign. matt is good dude but he talks too much.
its 'good or bad. that's it.
many posters discussed "price" or "value"... that while important, it should not enter the conversation of which car does what better.
while paying 100k more is painful for me, paying 100k more is like buying another can of dish soap for Zuckerberg... so the "value" "price" part is dependent on the buyer not the car. it is not the same conversation. we have clients who buy jets like I buy soda....
perhaps my English is poor. but "special" is over used. have driven and owned a sh*t load of porsche from 1963 to current model... they are differnt but I have yet to drive an "special" car.... it's good but I don't understand "special"...
there is need to experience no need to hate.
I like ST
I can't get one
cie la vie (did I spell that right?)
no need to hate
oh I know some ppl at porsche and some journalist say ST or whatever car is special.
until they sell kidney, kill wife for life insurance, lease kids out to **** movies... clearly the car isn't THAT special.
they moment. I sell my soul, then I have found special... until then,,, keep he chat up

C'est la vie but I agree fondly with eveything else
MF's comments on the change in steering, handling and chassis behavior is interesting. These have been highlighted as the big change in the 992 generation and it's interesting that Porsche has detuned that, so to speak.
To me, that's a little weird. You put in a razor sharp drivetrain with a clattery LWFW and mate it with a more relaxed driving car. It's possible he's misrepresenting or I'm misunderstanding. Either way, I doubt I'll ever drive it though I do know of a local who will be getting one.
Regarding the "special" argument - I think this car will be special...for a 911. At the end of the day, it's still "just" a 911. It has 90% of the same interior as a Carrera T and most civilians won't recognize it as a unique car given the lack of wing.
Whether the car is worth the ADM is an irrelevant question. It's worth what the market says it's worth. Most people spending $500k on this already have a collection, I suspect, so it's just another piece.
I had a Cali store text me today that they still have an ST allocation. They only want to sell to someone in-state. They're asking 250k over but I think they'd entertain offers.
