anyone telling you the ST is meaningfully different than a GT3 is just trying to keep their job

What a waste of 4 years of testing and development for the GT department then to just end up where they started! Lol

that’s a beautiful piece of metal artwork!

I myself can’t decide between (in order favorite to least)
1) R1 RSR in Ti
2) Dundon Ti
3) Akrapovic Ti

I don’t think the RSR necessarily fits the character of the S/T, but the sound it makes is literally the best sound I’ve ever heard in a street car, like a F1. I also have heard there’s a ton of drone though, so trade offs to be sure.

Porsche watches crack me up. A mechanical timepiece worth no more than about $1400 bucks for 18K

don’t get me wrong, I would love to have one at MSRP… but there’s not enough Kool aid in the world for me to believe any auto journo that says the ST is so different than a touring.

The car is marginally better than a Touring with a few differences along with being numbered and at MSRP sure but once you are talking about $200k+ ADM it's an easy pass.

I was raised on the sweet sweet P-Kool Aid so I never had a chance lol, and I messaged around 40 dealers before I was able to find a dealer that would give their allocation to an everyday enthusiast like myself with no established dealership relationship (and also not an extra $450K ADM to blow on a car - seriously that was one of the offers). It was a mix of luck, and sheer will - but I believe that this car is much more than the sum of its parts, and putting my hard earned $$ saved over decades where my mouth is. I’m not going to flip it, and I’m going to drive it like it was meant to be driven, so no garage queen here.

Some of that stuff is obvious, but crankshaft, ITB’s, and conrods are surprising. Did we know those are different on RS motor?

And you will enjoy every minute of it. Certainly don’t let the haters that haven’t even seen the car live much less driven it tell you it is just as good as a GT3 touring. So much envy and jealousy in this thread and that’s probably because by whatever means they don’t have the ability to get one. Same thing happened way back when the R was coming out.

Enjoy it, drive it and have a great time making memories in it. Can’t wait to see it. Make sure you post some pics.

Yes, they were all revised for 3RS.

camshafts have different profile for more lift at higher revs at the expense of 5NM peak torque.

ITBs have been flow optimised. (left GT3, right 3RS)

Ti Conrods and Forged Alu Pistons

Even the cylinder heads had been reworked for 3RS for improved oil supply and flow in a track application.
