You remove the black bracket below. And you replace it with the larger of the two brackets from the Elfermotors kit. The Elfermotor bracket holds both the seat and the seatbelt.

"Fasten the center section with the supplied nuts and drill 4 x holes accordingly."
You have to drill 4 holes into the tub and inserts 4 nuts into the holes. These act as anchor points for the 3rd (smaller) bracket that is the mounting point for the center of the rear seats. The top seat belt anchors are already in the 992 (according to Elfer Motors) and you can screw in the seat belt pivot points.

I have sent a follow up email to Elfermotos asking. for drill bit and hardware sizes.

Simple right? What can go wrong?
Looks pretty straight forward. Like you said just gotta get the proper fit for those rivet nuts.

Yes. I just emailed them to see if they had an suggestions plus provide a close up picture. I don't fully understand how the rivet nuts are supposed to work / be installed.

I assume you drill the hole, insert the nut and the tightening of the bolt in the nut expands the nut? Here is a picture of the supplied part.

There are special tools for installing them but I've done it with a high quality fastener, a couple of stacked washers and plenty of grease on the threads. Just slowly tighten down the screw until the nut deforms into the hole property, then remove the screw, add the bracket and put in the final screw that you will use permanently.

The hole size has to be dead on so that the nut sort of presses in at the beginning of this.

The riv nut tool is not particularly expensive. Amazon has plenty of options.

I have an update on my end. Elfermotors says that due to new customs issues between Germany and US it can take 3-4 weeks to get items through if they are valued at over 950 euros. So that's why we have a delay. Sounds like red tape on both sides. I'll keep you posted how my 991 comes along with this kit when it arrives.

Awesome. Keep a look out for the UPS tracking information. You need to check the website daily and look for a "fees" link where you can pay the customs fees. You will not get an email or a notification.

I believe that everything will be straightforward. The main issue I see is correct alignment of the center bracket. I've asked Elfermotors for more pictures and videos of that process.

For anyone following this thread, could someone take interior photos of the interior c pillar of a 992 GT3? I am trying to source a part and it would be helpful to see this. Thank you.

@shack993 Thanks for the images from EM kit - how do the lower sections/cushions of the seats mount to the center bracket? Or do they not mount there?

Only the flip top back rests mount to the center bracket. The lower cushions of the seat clip into the car frame/body. Will post more pictures when I install.

Curious if there are isofix connections under the carpeting?

Since the driver is probably at least 2 feet in front of the proposed rear seats, my guess would be there would be close to at least 3dB increase sound in the rear seat location because they would be that much closer to the engine.

For sure have them wear ear protection when in the rear seats, but seriously consider adding sound insulation: GT3 DIY sound insulation - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums
Great point! i took my dog on a long trip in the GT3 (took the passenger seat out for her). it took a test ride and about an hour on the long trip to get used to all the noises in the GT3. she rides in all cars and has her whole life. her reaction in the GT3 was pretty shocking and i wasnt sure if she would adjust at first..

I like the push on sound deadening. Remember, the point of my project is to solve for the <3 mile trips. I have three kids from ages 8 (twins) to 10. I need to get them to and from practice, school, etc. There might be an occasional on ramp, but if I am doing a long trip, there will be another car or I will have *one of them* in the front seat.

My plan is to sound deaden + seats. I don't find non-specific tire/road noise "emotional" or exciting. The perfect 911 (for me) has the precision of the GT3, and the drivability/utility of the GTS.
