I assume you drill the hole, insert the nut and the tightening of the bolt in the nut expands the nut? Here is a picture of the supplied part.
ive used similar in model engineering- theyre blind nuts used when you cant get a wrench on a nut in a blind space- id drill the diameter of the smooth section minus 0.1mm and then the tightening bolts should draw the splines up into the hole and retain them there

This is amazing. This is what many of us want and been denied!! Sending a lot of good vibes your way to make sure it works out.

is it possible for one of you to take the specs/drawings on these brackets so we can have some milled on our own and take on such a project as well?

I've ordered all the parts for the 991 GT3 conversion with new rear seats in leather and black seat belts. The brackets came in just fine and the other parts are almost here after being backordered from Germany for a few months. All in all, it is about $13,000 in parts.

I just put in an order request for a 992 Turbo S and am considering cancelling my GT3 Touring backseat project. In that case I'd sell all the parts as a kit to someone else who wants to do it instead.

I currently have a 2022 Cayenne Turbo, a 2018 GT3 Touring, a Cayman T, and a '88 Carrera Backdate.. but trying to get down to just 1 or two cars. It's so hard to do! If I stick with one car, then I need 4 seats for the kids. Otherwise, I could do two cars and have one with 4 seats and one that is all out track machine. I love DE events so would want something that could serve that role.

Option A: 992 Turbo S with sofas and max comfort + 991.2 GT3 RS for track
Option B: Cayenne Turbo + 992 GT3 RS (when available)
Option C: 992 Turbo S a light as possible with 4 seats + pocket the extra cash

Any advice? Anyone interested in buying the rear seat kit?

I should add that the wife already has a family SUV for us and also that we have nasty winters which make AWD a necessity to get around the city sometimes. So one car needs AWD. I'm a little worried about the weight of the TTS on track after owning tracking two 991 GT3's. Hard to beat them.

Don’t try for a one car solution. In my experience you’ll miss on both.

Those are all good options. Only you know which will rev your engine more.

You spent $13k in parts? I got 992 rear seats off eBay for less than $1000. I am in for about $3500. Oof.

I understand that. I am the thread starter. I have the seats, the trim, and the conversion kit. All less than $3500.

Good to know. How much did they charge you for the conversion kit.

I ending up purchasing a lot of new parts from Sunset for this project. The most expensive ones were the seats themselves since I wanted full black leather with black stitching, and didn't want partial leather. Also Elfermotors charged me $2995 euros for the kit, so their prices seem to have gone up.

Looks like the total was just over $11k actually plus taxes and freight. The engineer and former product developer in me tends to include every single detail and round up for budgeting...

Anyway, only one last seat belt is back ordered but everything else has shipped. So contact me if anyone wants to buy this kit from me for use in their car.

Have you decided not to do the backseat?
