If any of you guys that are adding rear seats want to trade your C-pillar covers with blanking plates for a set with seat belt openings let me know.

No shade meant at all, it's to the contrary. Drilling into the chassis is what prevented Sam and customers like us from the previous solution. Elfer was actually an inspiration to us, however, the price of entry ($15,000USD+) with the options we wanted when everything was said and done was a bit steep for our pocket book at the time. In addition, leadtimes associated for the install, both geographically and timeline wise also played a roll. We wanted our rear seat solution to match the interior trim and materials of our GT3RS (not easily availabe from over the counter Porsche parts) which further added to the wait.

So we got our hands dirty. After about 18-months of R&D and with a little sprinkling of some Yankee engineering; we came up with a solution for the North American market (as well as globally with our white glove install option). Enthusiasts from local car meets saw our solution and urged us to go to market. Hence GT3Belts was born. We made our debut at the 2023 Monterey Car Week. We all beat to the same Porsche DNA and our purpose here is to benefit all GT owners who want that little extra that the factory chooses to opt out. We applaud all solutions especially the DIYers who choose to do it themselves (just like us 18-months ago). As a matter of fact we are always in contact with the original poster of this thread behind the scenes, trying to help him however we can. Cheers!

Since people like pics, below is a pic of a recent GT3Belts stealth conversion for a 992 GT3 6-speed.

We offer this solution, especially for the 992 Carrera T rear seat delete crowd.

Here's the list from the elfer kit for 991. Supposedly all the same for the 992 other than the rear floor mats?

Someone had a video of someone removing the rear seat shelf to install something other than seats (a tune? or a power kit). Does anyone have that link?

Anyone know if you can swap the c-pillar blank plates in a GT3 for the seat belt outlet trim or do you need to buy the whole c pillar part? Thanks

If you have to ask… the logic that the GT3 is based on a 2+2 does not make it legal. Will it work? Probably. Will insurance companies pay out in an accident? I seriously doubt it but that is why I have not done a back seat add on to any of my GT3’s, which at last count was 5 and included 997.1 and 997.2 cars which still had the rear seat belt bosses under the carpet… I can’t even wipe the back inside window of my GT3’s with LWB’s. Good luck getting back there to undo a seat belt and possibly moving an injured passenger…

For those of you who are interested. I have a whole bunch of parts for sale for a 992 backseat project.

- Full backseat set of frames and cushions. Was planning on recovering in black and pepita.
- Rear belts in black
- Rear c pillar panel (only driver's side)
- 992 Elfermotors bracket and kit
- A ton of Porsche OEM 911r pepita fabric in gray/black houndstooth 120” by 56”
