My side window cracked when tint was being applied.

Porsche dealer ordered new glass...the replacement piece that was ordered was cracked.

Been waiting 1.5 weeks and being told at least another week for replacement

Hang on, are you saying the glass broke, the replacement also broke and you are waiting for another one?

My driver side door window cracked too. And it’s the inside pane.

oh, God, this is messy, I hope Porsche resolves all these issues quickly.
I'm kinda glad that my build date is Feb-2022, hopefully, they fix it before the build.

Sometimes these are the things us early adopters (first allocations of the first year model run) have to go along with and work through. I've had no issues so far. and hopefully when the car comes back out in March/April my streak continues.

I thought only Mclaren glass on early 720's and early 600LT's cracked lol, now Porsche?! But in all seriousness, I hope they get this issue fixed quickly. With the glass cracking on the early 720's and 600LT's it was found to be a manufacturing issue from the glass supplier, not a design with the cars themselves. Issue was resolved, Mclaren replaced glass that had cracked (on some cars it cracked multiple times) and now no more cracking from the updated glass. My GT3 arrives in July so I hope this issue is resolved before then. Its probably the same issue Mclaren had is my guess, manufacturing issue from the glass supplier.

They better hope this crap isn't going on for years and years, indefinitely to such a percentage that people just get tired of it and unload the car.

I witnessed this on a McLaren at a PPF installer in Chicago area. Guy was putting PPF on front fenders and then the roof and the glass started cracking. Not good.

That's a good data point...perhaps just a quality issue at a supplier.

I thought the light weight glass was only on the rear window. This window is not the one that is breaking. Maybe I am wrong.

My impression was that all glass was lightweight except the windshield. Seems that's not right either with the number of cracked windshields.

Someone mentioned in a thread here that this glass could not be addressed on cars still being built until 2023 MY, for some regulatory reason. Can anyone corroborate that? I was hoping that the issue would be limited to the earliest cars produced.

I looked it up and I misremembered. Looks like lightweight glass all around. This is a screenshot from the GT3 Tech specs on PCNA's web site.

Default Update

Quick status update; I opened a case with PCNA and had the service manager at my dealership look at the windshield. Dealer quickly identified it as a defect and I'm told Porsche will cover the cost. Hopefully this is another data point Porsche will use to identify and resolve the root cause.
