I am still trying to find the 'spot' if there is one to be found on the 992 GT3T. I don't track and have no interest or time to do it so in daily distance driving on FL flat roads its just loud and fast, and once you get past the inevitable show off factor at CnCs what's next? Curious to hear from others vis a vis first GT car experience vs this 992 version.
Your solution may be to remove some sound insulation and modify the exhaust in the 997 TT. There's definitely something special about the 997, and something special about TT also. I need to try a 997 TT/S.

No, you should try the 997 GT2 RS.

Don’t remind me. I had a chance to buy a 997 GT2 a decade ago for $130k and I passed.

I see your 997 GT2 faceplant and raise you a 918 faceplant.

Thinking about this more, I also suggest trying a 991 TTS. With some sound insulation removed, it's plenty loud and sounds good once you get the revs up, and it's fun to drive. Also consider 981 GT4 if you're open to mid engine.

Lightbulb Recent BAT results GT3T

No automatics for me, but thanks though. I was bored so I put this chart together for the ones that are keeping track. Assuming the BAT results are accurate. AVG variance from msrp for the 'Sold' units is $85,726.18. Sample size is 27 examples of 992 GT3 Tourings only sold during the last 12 months.

I had the same thoughts as you for my 991 RS, I find my 718 GT4 manual a lot more fun.

If you want to go used, I think a 996 GT, 997 GT/RS or 911r would be great options for you. Also love the 993. A 993 turbo would be super fun and about the same price as your car now.

That is an example of a PTS that probably brings negative value.

Hahaha wow that color is interesting. Reminds me of when I saw a mint color 911 gt3 at a local dealership and was just wondering how hard it must be to move a car with a color like that

The even more criminal thing here are those seat inserts. Whoever installed those should be arrested

what’s your theory on why no fake bidders for this auction? Since you always assume fake bidders when the bid is high

I usually just lurk around this as I shop for my dream car, but that person was beyond toxic and absolute trash.

For all the times they would tell people how much they enjoyed being able to go out and drive their GT3T, they would make 10x the amount of posts insulting other posters if they didn't share the exact point of view on something. It's insane to imagine someone so old but so childish.

Anyways, everyone here has been really helpful with their experiences and contributions. Should be a lot more pleasant again going forward.

good to have you here. There’s a wide array of experience and outcomes here. Hopefully it’s been helpful. Don’t forget the bbq

Get it out on a very early morning canyon run with lots of twisties...and SWEEPING turns. It's the ultimate canyon carver. It's fun to daily....and/or drive on freeways etc...but it was truly born to CARVE....
