Demand >> supply.

are prices coming down ? Absolutely. Are you getting a hot in demand new car at msrp ? Nope, no you are not. Lambo is sold out 2 years. Ferrari is coy but likely similar. McLaren about a year. And the guys who want a 992 TTS allocation ? Yeah, not everyone who wants one is getting one before production ends. We haven’t even gotten to the GT products.

A lot of people won’t have chairs when the 992.1 music stops. A modest recession isn’t going to help you enough to matter.

I partially agree. Being sold out 2 years dont mean anything. When tide goes out, all those guys on the list will disappear.

But I do agree, with modest recession, prices will come down to reasonable 20-30k ADM but not to under msrp.

A big reason for that was the delayed introduction of the Touring relative to the Winged car on the 991.2 generation, so the former had much shorter production span.

If you look at the last 6 months of 991.2 GT3 Production (Nov 2018 - Apr 2019), the Touring actually outsold the Winged car!!!

This is too funny not to talk about.

Guy states he already bought a 2022 pts jet green touring in may of this year

States this new one he just won at 300k, you’d be crazy to sell under 350k. Somehow also a jet green touring…is there even more than 1 at this point you think in u.s.?

Did the same thing on someone else’s touring listing couple months ago saying 350k, then bids 300k

Let’s get thing started??? By bidding 300k lol

do you guys honestly think

A) this is the dudes car (proly not more than 1 jet green touring atm, maybe was hoping to pump
the price in hopes someone else bid)

B) a shill bid on what happens to be another coincidental jet green touring he just doesn’t follow through on (unlikely someone with a 992 touring already would bid 300k like he did on the bright green as well one AND pay massive adm)

or

C) this dude found another jet green and legitimately wanted it, bid for it, and won

anyway you slice it this is pure entertainment in my eyes and you just got try and enjoy it

I’m James6462 on BAT… I pointed this out in the comments after the close of the auction. Adding: “I’m not buying it”… while bidding $300K, who prints “ I wouldn’t let this go for less than $350K”... Total sham….

Car went for $80k over in a much more desirable spec than the white one someone paid 110k over for.... wonder if that buyer doesn't wish he got this instead

To make it more “suspect” that $300k bid was placed the first or second day of the auction. Total shill bid… I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s relisted…

Definitely suspicious but usually shill bid dont meet reserve.

True, but the timing of the bid leads me to believe they were hoping for a few more….

Yeah some of them are more discreet but it usually comes with

1) Bidding close to market value way too early
2) Bidder hyping up the car (usually they try to put it down)
3) Usually right under reserve

You can see that lots of cars at BaT are not meeting reserve.

I was talking to my SA today about my new Porsche arriving in Jan 23. During this conversation he mentioned a 2022 GT3 Touring with 6MT in PTS that got traded back in. I have no skin in this just trying to help somone find a good car.
In case anyone is interested here is what I remember:

PTS Albert Blue
Two tone exclusive Manuf interior
2000 miles
was an Atlanta Experience Delivery in May 2022
full bucket seats ($5900)
MSRP was $221K

At porsche of Peoria IL
Call David at 309-243-3921 for all the details if interested

In San Diego (won't name dealership), it's $150k over for 992 GT3 RS, with a decently long list. What do folks think the resale market pricing will look like?

Literally sticker, people don't comprehend how unusable these are and how fast money is drying up.

I would be shocked if I can't get sticker by the time half of them actually land. Those rando dealerships that are all trying to flip 992's with a lot less luck now are going to be left holding the bag on the 992 gt3rs no doubt.

Gt3's are very usable cars tbh, gt3rs's are night and day different. They are extremely uncomfortable for most people and the new one is much less usable then the 991.2 gt3rs I myself daily'd for a few years.

EDIT: I myself am not even going to get one because I think they are that unusable. The no frunk, and even worse radiator air going right by the windows is a no go for me. I track my cars and feel that hot metallic radiator air going straight to my lungs sounds like cancer

Try posting this stuff in the regular GT3RS thread and you may get hammered like I do. So far, we have no tests on track with windows down, and essentially no road tests (just one German one on good roads). I agree that a lot of guys are going to find this car too uncomfortable on the road, and some may find it to be too grippy/fast/expensive on the track also. I don't think prices will come down to sticker any time soon, too many guys with money are eager to get the car.
