Don't disagree on the thread as a whole.

Simply put, the MSRP is less than the market price right now and supply is limited (current 991 prices are above MSRP used). Thus the folks that want the cars are paying the market price now vs. speculating on what they will do next year and so on. There is no right or wrong here IMO.

That's a debate right there. To me:

992S - much better looking than 991.1 S, debatable on 991.2
992 GT3 - IMO MUCH better than 991.2 GT3
992 Turbo S- I just wasn't seeing the benefits in looks over 991.2 TTS- to me this is the model that is the slimmest gain in terms of looks. And the car is HEAVIER, which p*sses me off that things are going this way.

Few months ago I was offered 60k I laughed. They’re now down to 30, I laughed again said I’d rather buy a watch. That was a random local dealer I just walked in. My dealer told me wait till next year. Let the hype die down and expect little to none from them. This would be my 4th car from them in 2.5 years, but I’m not paying a dime over.

It’s principal alone for me and the fact that I don’t see it as an upgrade, yet. I know it’s faster around the ring, yay. I like the interior better, exterior final judgment in person but more importantly the engine is pretty much the same. Gimme the 4.2 damnit.

These dealers are trying to hit home runs with every sale. If you got a LOCAL customer who’s fairly young (39) willing to play ball with you wouldn’t you want to keep that customer for life instead of the out state flipper? Maybe I’m getting old but as a business owner I’ll take the consistent guy 10 out of 10 times nowadays.
