I'm still in for backseats in the touring edition. I'm stuck between a Targa GTS when it comes out and a GT3. Only reason for the Targa is the back seats and a compromise between cab and coupe (yes, I know purists would laugh at this being an option). That said, I'd much prefer a touring with backseats so my kids can ride in what they call "daddy's race car"

Redline RPM is the max inertial load for quite a few parts due to piston speed so it can be set by mechanical limits when motor life is considered. It depends what part is the weakest link in the motor. If it’s the rods in fatigue for instance, redline could sensibly be limited to ensure adequate rod life. And if the designers wanted to, the high RPM cam setting and other engine components together could certainly make peak power at or above that rev limit. You can call that artificial but then I would argue your definition of artificial is pretty arbitrary.

My guess...it'll have 2 engines (one in the front and one in the back for 50/50 weight distribution) and each engine will have 4 turbo chargers. The total output will be 3,000hp. All of this will be driven through a 4 speed manual.

My mum was in my garage and my front hood was up. As she walked past - She said “where has the engine gone”. She is 81 lol

997 GT3 R has a sequential box. Last factory race car with Manual was 996 GT3 Cup, afaik...

The sport classic sounds like a manual turbo variant. Also has split exhaust tips suggesting turbo engine. Verdict is pending whether this is RWD and whether this is just a package that can be fitted to the standard 992 turbo. Not a “GT” car
