Hoping for an April delivery instead of the March C4s. Trading in a 991 4GTS (don't hate me, only ever a stop gap whilst new build)

Can't wait
You did good, except pdk. There...I've just saved you another 5K.

Enjoy!

It appears as though the 0-100 time is marginally faster with the GTS 4 but the 0-160 time is faster in the GTS 2. The differences are minor and I would never be able to really appreciate that difference but I am just looking to differentiate the 2 cars to help decide which to choose. I had also considered winter driving and therefore was looking at the GTS 4 but realistically I will not likely drive it in the winter.

Any thoughts/advice regarding whether to go for the GTS 2 or 4?
I have a GTS rwd. I searched for a 4, but a really good deal came up on a 2. Like you I pondered the same thing and thought realistically I would not drive it in the winter. If you do, just get a set of Winter's. Although I was out in it last week and will probably be in it tomorrow (still on Summers).

How does Porsche get away with charging more for PDK in a GTS than a C2S?

It's a trick. Don't tell anyone, but if you are physically fit to drive a manual,it is more fun, comes " free ",it's less complicated, costs WAY less if something goes wrong,it's lighter and it requires less maintenance.

Less is more.

Always entertaining!

Now aside from what is best, the $$$$ difference. Really?

Because they can. The pdk units are the same AFAIK,but because the GTS is placed " above " the C2S in Porsche's lineup, they can get away with charging more.

The PDK on gts I ordered today in UK was same price as on my cancelled C4S order. Maybe it's a mistake?

PDK price is NOT a mistake. on the .1 GTS it was 4840 as well (as mentioned and shown in another members acutal window sticker a few pages back). I guess the 'good thing' is that it PDK was 4840USD when they released the 991.1 GTS and its the same price on the .2 GTS's as well

FYI- 5600 Canadian dollars for PDK.. Yikes!

Just to be contrarian I'd say it depends on where you live... I have a 991.1 GTS 2, live in Toronto, and drive year round as it is my daily. With a set of Michelin PA4 tires it is fantastic in the snow/winter.

If you're out in the sticks perhaps different story but if you're in any urban area driving a 991 C2S/GTS in the winter is no issue at all.

Ended up ordering a GTS 4. The RWD model would have made more sense economically but I liked the idea of AWD especially in my climate. Can't go wrong either way. Thanks for input.

I hate AWD and always get a bit worked up when people say you have to have AWD if you drive in snow. I have had RWD cars all my life and drive in winter no problem. Chose not to drive the GTS in the winter more for salt and rocks not the snow. I did get M3 for winter driving which made people scratching their head asking is it AWD
