OFFICIAL NEWSROOM 991.2 GTS announcement THREAD - 450HP

I see what you did there! Lol
TBH I don't care what owners spend their coin on, but I am concerned that Porsche are pricing their iconic car, the 911, out of reach of many in the (upper) middle class when to get a decently equipped model is now about $130K for a C2S, and $150K for a GTS 4.
Perhaps all they really give a damn about is the SUVs, (especially the Macan), and the 'insiders' who always get first dibs on the GT models.

The question to ask is - how important is it that I'm getting EXACTLY the car I want and how certain am I that when I get that car, that I'll know that I picked all of the options I wanted. Assign a value to that maybe the value is 10 out of a scale if 10. Now see what you could buy in a 991.1 for $85k and assign a value to that, maybe it's a 7. Subtract the first value from the second.p, in this case it's 3 or 30% of your value scale. Then subtract the cost of the new car from that of the used, say 140k from $85k, $55k. You have now assigned a personal value of 3 for 55k. 30% of 140k is 42k, so on that scale the new car wouldn't be worth it. .

Thanks for posting this. The graph of the 991.2 Base next to an 991.1S explains everything. Base .2 is faster than S .1 through 5500 rpm.

Driving the new 2017 models shows how much faster they are over the 2016 models. The new 2017 911 S is as fast as a 2008 GT2. The new 2017 GTS will be quicker than the current GT3 in most situations...it will certainly "feel" faster with 405 pound feet of torque at 2100rpm...

Sapphire blue 2GTS build slot secured.
PDK
Rear wheel steer
Red/Black leather
Plus other bits.......
Should be driving it last couple of days of April.
Still undecided about glass roof or not. Currently have one, never use it, but like the look of it. It squeaks a little.
