TL DR, but...just checked the U.S. website and it said that the GTS has a 3.8 liter twin turbo six...

Is that a typo or did it get a different motor than the base/S?

Yeah, 3.0. Would be a shocker if the GTS got the Turbo powertrain.

No. 3.0L with larger turbos to get more boost. No way would it ever be a 3.8L

Agreed. But pretty big thing to get wrong on the U.S. website, as it says 3.8 liter twin turbo. Someone isn't doing a very good job editing copy there at Porsche.

"Notable Standard Features"

"3.8-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine producing 331 kW (450 hp) and 550 Nm"

But when I drill down to technical specs, it says 3.0l as expected.

Very curious to hear how it performs with the bigger turbos in the first real reviews. That GT Silver GTS with black centerlocks and PCCBs in the gallery sure looks sweet... Hope it's a beast performance wise.

Maybe the 3.8 twin turbo is for the .2 GT3

I'm sure it's a mistake. Someone reminiscing about the 3.8 days.

Now this is a bit cheesy no??

Who are they trying to appeal to?? The hipster clubber crowd?? Let us hear the damn car, see it driving, and not some dance music with a bearded hipster.

That's quite a departure from your traditional P Marketing productions. Cheesy is a gross understatement.

Eh....it could have been worse.

On another note...that Targa with the black roll bar looks AWESOME.

Anybody have any luck finding out if orders are officially open? I emailed my guy and he said right now nothing is firm.

I don't like Alcantera either. I proceed my ideal .2 C2S on the Configurator and it was $136k. So my .2 GTS is likely >$150k. I thought that is GT3 territory.

Same. And why can't they offer more wheel options on the GTS? Don't like any of the choices, again.

I just got a call that the dealer Configurator (US) is up, so I imagine they can take orders (?). From the conversation, my 4S order will be significantly more $ as GTS to keep the options I have now. I didn't want CL or painted wheels, sport exhaust or sport design mirrors, so I'll be giving up a lot of "free" stuff to get the black roll bar and bigger turbos/HP/TQ. Well, I guess I would get the sport exhaust but I always turned it off on my BGTS.

Previous gen videos were better, and I thought those were annoying too
