Lex, your definition of dead give-away and mine are different. As someone who is not that familiar with the minutiae of the 991.2 I maintain that a video about that car's sound should make mention of whether or not it is running the factory sport exhaust. Just my opinion of course.

Looks like the 991.1 HAS NO PSE. Sure doesn't sound like it.
Having driven the 991.2 4S with PSE a few days ago, it's no 991.1
Didn't get to push it too much, but pretty much what everyone has said. Low end torque increase, but has lost the build up of the thriller plot. You're on a one way linear ride and while quick, little drama. More like a predictable sobby chick flick.
The exhaust sounds somewhat scripted. Doesn't seem natural. You hear the whizzing before the burbles and pops and soon after as the RPM's decease or after downshifts. The snap, crackle, pops are short lived. Like it's an add on rather than coming from the heart. Something has been lost in the transition, although some would argue it's been worth it. To me, they've sold their soul to the devil. Anyone down for an exorcism?
I do like the cosmetic changes though! I'm always a fan of moving forward there.
By the way, first experience with power steering plus. Oh my, terrible .....
As a disclaimer, I think the .2 makes a lot of sense for someone daily driving it, but as a car you're using for those exciting and thrilling rides, the .1 shines bright.
What I look for in a daily driver and a summer fun ride are different.

I have to wonder why Nick likes the C2S but dislikes the Powerkit. I'm not sure I have heard anyone else say this. Nevertheless, kudos to Nick for making these entertaining videos the rest of us can opine on. Curious if he likes the 991.2 enough to buy one?

I've had my 991.2 C4 for a few days. The PSE sounds good at start-up, accelerating at low speeds and when decelerating. Whether you consider it good or bad, almost every pedestrian in close proximity, turns around to see what's making the noise when you drive past them on these small streets in Europe. Once up to cruising speeds, it's hardly noticeable. Almost identical sounds with it off or on at highway speeds. The sound of the turbos spooling up is subtle, but definitely noticeable with the windows down.

I doubt that will help with the advantage of all that low end torque
