Are we talking about the architecture of the car or the value???

I think he's saying the 993 has evolved into a 911 classic while the new and improved 996 is a car few Porsche people want. This could very well be what happens to the 991 compared to the 991.2.

991s is faster than a 997.2 around the ring. That was a major update. Curious to see a 991.1 gt3 vs 991.2s ring times.

For now... The 996 is an epic value at the moment.

Thank you for the kind feedback

I really love the 991.2, it is pretty much an improvement in every way. I am looking to get one this year. I am not a fan of the power kit engines because of the drop in mid range torque which I think the 3.8 needs for day to day driving. Either way they are nice engines.

everyone's a critic!

My guess is that the usual cast of aftermarket characters, Cargraphic, AWE, Tubi, Akrapovic, Borla, Fabspeed, etc etc will pretty quickly come out with
their own aftermarket solutions to any perceived aural shortcomings of the
991.2!

Yeah. Get an old man to drive the 991.1 and you will look like a super star.

I think the 991.2 GTS will satisfy those that wanted a 911R.
For me, a Porsche without PDK has no interest.
I passed on a 981 Spyder and GT4 and would have on a 911R but alas I had no chance!-Richard
