Ha. I was hoping you'd be first for the same reason. 😝

Actually, I'm waiting to see if Tom comes out with a Spring/Sleeve kit to make the stock SPASM more GT3 like.

Bad news, we're temporarily sold out again. Next batch is estimated to be completed mid-April.

Specifically Eibach?

How does one change which file is set? I might like to give the GT3 tour a go. And secondly, is it possible to have DSC mimic or otherwise copy the stock mode of a more fixed rate/model to run in normal mode, while Sport enables the DSC functionality? Essentially moving to only one DSC file.

If you want a fixed setup I assume you just create a map with no compensations for G force etc, just a set value over the whole axis.

I have ordered one in the UK via a Porsche specialist, no idea if that made it out of the last batch - hoping it has so I can get it posted to me and I can use my time in lockdown to get it fitted and play with the software.

Works great. One of our early DSC development cars was a 2012 991 with Eibach Pro Kit springs and TPC sway bars. That car was a beast on the track. I am sure there are many 991 DSC users with Eibach springs.

The info is available on the DSC Sport website. Here's the link- https://www.dscsport.com/tuning-academy/
Video # 105 "Reading & Writing" file.

Possible...but it will take a lot of time. And we will not support it since it's not our algorithm.

Understood. Thanks for answering that Tom. And also explaining how to access the file change info. Sorry, didn't see it on the site at first. Much appreciated.

My pleasure to help. The calibration file is easy to change. Let me know how the GT3 "Tour" file feels. Save your current file before writing the new file.

One last set of noobish questions. I'm sorry to continue to ask things, I promise this won't continue indefinitely. Under the tuning academy section of the site, I thought I saw a lesson 102, something about wifi connecting. That appears to no longer be up on the site. Is it possible to update the calibration file via wifi, or do you generally pop the unit out of the car and USB connect? And also, can you break up the files? Can you have GT3 tour in normal mode and Carrera T sport file in sport for example?

Lastly, do these changes require a windows based computer/connection? It appears so, but I thought possibly a wifi option would work around that and allow for an apple based setup.

Again, please excuse the questions during this introduction and setup. Really appreciate the feedback and time.

No worries. It is a good question. We had beta version WiFi back in 2017 for C7 Corvette but dropped the program due to security reasons; a hacker can potentially hack different systems on the car...
Using a USB connection is safe from being hacked. You can leave the cable connected to the DSC all the time and hide the other end of the cable under the floor mat until you want to use it.

Absolutely you can! Once you have a PC connected to the DSC, use the DSC Tuner software to open the file you want, then go the "Settings" tab.
In your example, since your DSC already has Carrera T file in it, and you wish to keep it the same in Sport mode,
you can open the GT3 Tour file, then go with Settings, then select you want to Write Normal mode(of the GT3 Tour file) to Normal mode(of the DSC), then use the "Write to DSC" button. See Settings screenshot below.

Yes, the DSC software was designed for use with Windows PC.

Awesome. Thanks for getting back to me Tom. Really appreciate the responses. I don't have a PC at the moment, but hopefully I can find someone who does. Or maybe the next time I'm at Speedsport tuning they can plug a laptop in. Im sure those guys have worked with your product. For now I'll enjoy the programmed files on there. Thanks again.

you can run the Windows s/w on a Mac using one of the many Mac based technologies such as Parallels, VBox, or as I do, VMware Fusion ... with Windows 7 running the PC app ...

the tricky part is to ensure that the USB driver bridge CP210x driver works on the VM platform - I can attest that this works for Fusion (at least) not sure about Parallels or Vbox, you could always try bootcamp and dual boot WIndows on your Mac - but that's probably more trouble than this approach
