Yes it’s a S. I think I’ve got another few years left to ride a bike, but realizing that my skills are not what they were 20 years ago and ride accordingly. It’s got lots of rider aids for throttle, ABS, slide control, wheelie control, engine braking control and dynamic Ohlin suspension. It’s quite a lot to learn.

I sold my bike and bought my first convertible when my son was born. Bought my first and likely only Porsche cabriolet last summer when he was 19.

Its amazing to see how far Motorcycle electronics have come.

My Aprilia Tuono Factory had the same electronics. Although I spent 20+ years chasing Ducatis.. I must say that Aprilia Tuono (and RSV4) are the BEST handling bikes ...period. No other bike has ever given me more front end confidence and feedback that the Aprilia.
All of my Ducatis, including the Panigale and 848 EVO SE had numb front end, I could never tell what the front was doing near limit. The Aprilia Changed all that, if you ever get a chance take one out for a test drive, it will change your (riding) life

I had a RSV1000 back in the day and the RSV4 a while back. Each one had problems they could not fix, so I sold them. Once VW bought Ducati the Germans were able to get the Italians that design and make the bikes.....become more reliable and far better supply network. It was a win win situation. When the Texas Pacific Group and then some other Investment firm after that owned them, it was near impossible to get parts and services, plus you might get a bike with lots of issues. All that is gone now. And no more belt drive desmo valves, and the need to change the belt every 5K miles. Now would I turn down having a 916 SP or a 996 Foggy SP?

There was a time, decades ago, I would have killed for a euro Foggy SPS

Former bike enthusiast here too, had a couple of trackday accidents back around 2006/2007 (one that put me in the hospital for a few days), sold my bike and bought a Lotus Elise. I do miss riding sometimes though.

Since this is now a motorcycle thread.
Old school. NO traction control, NO anti-lock brakes, Not even a gear indicator. Just miles of smiles.

Even though I’d never buy these kind of bikes (or indeed any motorcycle) being a petrolhead, I can still admire them. In my mind (rightly or wrongly) they are the Ferrari-like exotica of the two-wheeled world.

Cool story, start your own thread about bikes please. Some of us don’t care about bikes in this thread.
