Be careful at state inspection time. PA requires a yellow/orange reflective side marker at the front of the car (yes it's in the code). You can fail the safety inspection with the clear side markers even though they have a orange bulb. Your experience may vary...
Thanks for the tip. I still have the orange ones to swap out if needed - but more likely to find another place to inspect it.
I am amazed at what a huge positive impact such a detail can have on the look. The clear LED side markers are better in every way. There’s no turning back.

Sounds like the State of Pennsylvania had no engineers advising on these matters, only big government bureaucrats. Government needs to get out of people's lives. This rule does not help safety.

You'll get no argument from me.
BTW, I may be wrong but I believe that yellow/orange front side markers are a federal regulation as well. (The same comment from about applies.)

In my home state of Taxachusetts they make us remove both license plate frames for the inspection, with my 4 cars it turns into a project. Additionally, the car is photographed from inside (odometer) and outside and the whole inspection process is video recorded from all 4 corners. Not to mention the expense...
I am not aware that our safety record is better than in states like Florida that has no inspection requirement.

Safety record? Well, in Florida, every driver is over 90. In the Boston area, only maniacs are allowed to drive. Sounds like a toss-up.
New leather interior door sills, leather dashboard end caps, leather sun visors, leather dashboard speaker covers and sport chrono shroud. All with guards red deviated stitching to match my interior.
Where did you actually buy it from? Also how did you replace the original one? I'd like some Alcantara in mine!
It's literally a cover, it's got double sided tape and is in two pieces. Who knows if it will las, if it was a manual **** it probably would be used too much and fall apart but I'm hoping that since it's the pdk it will hold up since you don't always have your hand on it.

On a similar note I got window tint 1 shade darker on my BMWs than the law allows in SC. A cop told me he has never stopped anyone for that or ever heard of anyone stopped for it.

... I have been stopped for it with the full tint detector brought out in MO (no other reason for stopping) after bringing a car from Florida with 55% tint (MO is 35% max). I also got my new to me 991.2 from FL and it has tint on it, not sure what percentage but looked up the regs for MO and to be legal I have to get an Rx for the exact percentage of tint, take the Rx to MO State Highway Patrol with the vehicle for inspection (I guess they actually inspect the vehicle for tint) and you have to get a permit per vehicle. I legitimately had lasik but am still deciding if it’s worth all that hassle. https://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/MS...s/SHP-510b.pdf
Not really sure, I just know they put a meter on it and I want to say they wrote me a ticket. It’s probably been 10 years and I haven’t usually ran tint.

35% law in Missouri would mean 35% is the darkest (lowest) you can go. Tint is measured by the percentage of light allowed to pass through. Limo tint is 5%. 55% is pretty light - I put that on the full windshield on all my cars.
