These look like steel caps that should NEVER be installed on TPMS valves - they will seize to the aluminum stems due to galvanic action (ask me how I know). It was OK on regular brass stems but for TPMS only plastic caps are to be used.

Ive never heard of this ever happening to be honest. But thanks for the heads up. I have anti seize lube. Ill use a little dab on each one when I finally drive the car bc she hasnt moved in like 2 months. North East ❄️🤬
Honestly Ive never heard this before lol. I know like spacers get seized on but not valve caps. Learn something new everyday. Thanks again for the heads up. Obv I only got them bc they say GT3 on them and they are white to match the car. Only 12$. Ill def put some anti-seize lube on them before install and just check them. Doesn't get driven in the rain and garage kept. So I should be good.

Finally got around to installing my smarttop module. Easy enough to install and very well worth it. Also changed my headlight washer covers from chrome to black, very easy to do.
Every month with TPMS? Don't trust the sensors? How do you then double check the oil level ?
They've told me, on more than one occasion, that my tire(s) were nearly flat when my eyeballs and tire pressure gauge told me otherwise. So, NO I cannot say I trust TPMS.
Also, Bob's right - check tire pressure once a month (or more often) and steel caps are fine.

Been trying to figure out if I really need the smarttop module but just can't make sense of it. If I had a car that needed to be at a standstill to open or close the top then I would get one immediately but what do you find yourself using it for? Opening and closing remotely? When do you need that? Honest question, not trying to give you a hard time!

Really just for convenience. The one touch top up/down, the “all windows down” with one click, and the remote top up/down are what I use the most. In miami, there could be a light downpour at any random time, I don’t need to run to the car if I left it parked with top down. The remote has excellent range.

I love the one touch and done for the top. I am a big guy so it’s a lot easier to get out of the car with the top down then use the key to lock and close the top. I just don’t like leaving the top down out of my sight! Another great feature is rolling down or raising your windows with the key fob. I use the one touch feature every time I put the top down plus the windows stay down after the top is fully down! Once you install the smart top you will not be disappointed!
